These cork menu holders are ideal for our wine lovers' evening. Printed menus at each place setting give guests a preview of the food-and-wine pairings. Created on a home computer, using a classic typeface in black or a muted color, they are printed on quality paper. In keeping with the party's theme, each menu is anchored with a wine cork.
They're simple to create at home. Collect an assortment of wine corks. Red wine corks add a hint of color, but white wine corks can also be used.
Cut a slit along the length of each cork using a sharp utility knife. Carefully run the blade along the cut a few times to widen it slightly. Insert a menu into the slit in each cork. If desired, insert a thumbtack at an angle into the back of each cork and stand a menu up at each place setting. The menus can also lay flat on the plates or on the table.
