Cherry Smoothie

Made with frozen cherries, this cheerful red smoothie can be made all year long, but when there’s an abundance of cherries at the farmers’ market, substitute fresh cherries, adding 1 cup (4 oz./125 g) of ice cubes as well.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (8 oz./250 g) frozen cherries
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz./125 g) plain yogurt
  • 3/4 cup (6 fl. oz./180 ml) orange juice or apple juice

Directions:

In a Vitamix blender, combine the cherries, yogurt and orange juice. Blend on high speed until smooth.

Divide the smoothie between 2 glasses and serve immediately. Serves 2.
