Banana-Strawberry-Almond Smoothie

This smoothie couldn’t be simpler: just whirl together five superfoods in a blender with ice cubes to create a balanced breakfast with loads of protein, fiber and phytochemicals. You’ll have great energy and nutrition before you even leave for work.


  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups plain nonfat yogurt
  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 lb. fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1/4 cup whole natural almonds
  • 1 cup ice cubes


In a blender, combine the cranberry juice, yogurt, bananas, strawberries, almonds and ice cubes, and puree until smooth and frothy. Pour into glasses and serve. Serves 4.
