If you're pressed for time this Thanksgiving but still want to serve your guests a memorable meal, try this menu that focuses on the basics, simply yet elegantly prepared. When shopping, look for cubes of butternut squash that have already been peeled and chopped, which will save you some time in assembling the simple soup that begins the meal. (Alternatively, for an even easier dish, use our pumpkin or butternut squash bisque starter, which requires nothing more than being heated with some stock.) Our focaccia stuffing can be served simply, according to the directions on the box, or dressed up with leeks and wild mushrooms, as it is here. When roasting your turkey, there's no need to spend time brining it or glazing it. Just follow our instructions for a classic roast turkey the way your mother may have made it. If you like to bake, use the time that you saved to prepare a pecan tart or pumpkin pie, two iconic Thanksgiving favorites.
