Rated 5 out of 5 by Afterthought from Love to cook. Love to take to work. I used to work at WS and got these as a promo. I have been using them since 2013ish and have never had a problem. I’m only purchasing two more because my mother decided she wanted them. Perfect for adding a pinch....or more. Love taking it to work. And has been much talked about by my coworkers. So much so. They are now buying or borrowing mine.Date published: 2019-08-21Rated 2 out of 5 by Cat420 from Difficult I have had these a couple of years. The only reason I did not buy others is because I spent so much on these. That being said, they are difficult to use if you need more than a dash. They aren't super easy to fill or to clean. My salt one just completely broke. They are frustrating.Date published: 2019-07-29Rated 2 out of 5 by jsglowin from Loved It at First... I've had this mill for a couple years and, the other day, the plunger just stopped working...like it's locked. I took it apart and washed it in hot water, which loosened it, but only while it was wet. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, were you able to fix it? I hate to pitch such a handy tool, but right now, it's useless!Date published: 2018-04-14Rated 3 out of 5 by Lizz from Handy grinders! These are great little grinders. Nice hand size. I like them for on the table or if I'm on the go. They don't hold much, but for a convenient size they seem with the minor hassle of filling often. They are not the sturdiest and use caution when grinding salt over a warm dish, the steam causes minor issues. They also do not hold up to minor falls. The clear section is not glass but it easily bent from a 1ft fall and is now barely usable and feels like it is about to fall apart with any grind.Date published: 2017-10-23Rated 4 out of 5 by CLWHCT from Great individual mills These are great for fresh salt and pepper at the table. They aren't for cooking because of their size. One of my guests loved using them this summer and I'm giving them to her as a hostess gift.Date published: 2015-11-21Rated 1 out of 5 by Sber from Dissapointing I put these on my wedding registry and received them as a gift. These mills are very narrow and unstable. Forget about putting them down on a tablecloth or placemat, they fall over constantly and don't hold that much. During the first week of use, after many falls, the mill fell on its side and the clear part cracked! For a mill that is so heavy, it should have a wider base. I assumed WS would only carry a quality product - now the gift one of my best friends got us for our wedding is something we have to get rid of. Even besides the falling, the product is really lackluster - I'm no longer buying anything from WS unless I can double check reviews somewhere else.Date published: 2015-09-18Rated 1 out of 5 by SnowEgg from Poor choice for table or kitchen This mill is not good for cooking nor is it good to use on the table. It doesn't hold much pepper. It doesn't grind much pepper with each push yet takes a lot of pressure. You'll wear out your thumb grinding half a teaspoon of pepper. The push button comes unscrewed so you have to keep tightening it. Worst, it is topheavy and tips over easily--you have to be careful even when mindfully setting it down or it will go over with a sharp and loud thwack because it's metal and heavy. When falling down it could easily chip a plate, crack a wine glass, or flip a small plate in the air. A simple bump of the table is plenty to tip it over. Thus a bad choice to put on the table for a meal unless you want to set up your guests for embarrassment. Avoid.Date published: 2014-12-15Rated 3 out of 5 by Kristimg from Love the look, but disappointed I brought these 3 years ago in San Diego. I thought they were expensive but I loved the way they look! They are used everyday and last month all the peppercorns spilled out onto my husband's eggs, ruining the dish. It was impossible to pick them all out of the uncooked omelet. The threads just wore out? I will replace it with a new one as I said, I love the look.Date published: 2014-11-12
