Brittany Baldwin
Meet Chef Brittany Baldwin

Brittany Baldwin founded her home chef and catering business with the goal of bringing delicious, affordable farm-to-table cooking to Portland's "busy class." The concept was simple — use ingredients from her own garden to cook meals for clients — but the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Baldwin graduated from Portland's Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy before launching Portland Home Chef in 2003. She provides family meals made from her own small farm, where she grows a variety of fruits and vegetables such as sweet peppers, beets and greens and raises chicken and quail for farm-fresh eggs.

Baldwin's meals consist of mixed herb salads, steamed salmon or chicken breasts stuffed with wild mushrooms, and homemade ice creams and cobblers — a far cry from pizza delivery.

All-Clad d5 Brushed Stainless-Steel Saucepan
Great for soups, sauces, boiling pasta, potatoes, etc. I use this pan every day for the basics. I love its even heat, durability and stylish look.

Wüsthof Classic Chef's Knife
I use this for everything, its a permanent extension of my hand. I've had mine for 10 years and use it everyday for usually about 8 hrs.

Flexible Metal Slotted Spatula
One of my favorite gifts to give people who have never had one. Good for fish, fried eggs or anything delicate.

Silicone Spatulas and Spoonulas
These allow you to get every last drop. They are very durable, hold up well to hot and cold temperatures and don't absorb the flavors of the food you're cooking.

All-Clad Tri-Ply Stainless-Steel Fry Pan
I use this at work and at home to sear meats, saute veggies, cook stir fries, eggs, I even cook steaks in it during the winter. It's also very easy to clean after such a messy job.

Stainless-Steel Tongs
These are dear to me from my days as a line cook to the present. They keep your hands safe and clean.

French Cook's Spoon
It doesn't scratch pans, is light, durable and charming. I have so many fond memories of my mother and her wooden spoon stirring gravy and sauces before dinner.

10-Piece Glass Bowl Set
I love this set because it stacks into one small stack that takes up minimal cupboard space. They also allow you to cook a wide range of things at once when they are out.
