Pear Ginger Pisco Sour
The sweetness of pears and coconut meets the spiciness of ginger in this balanced mocktail. Shaking the ingredients without ice cubes—a technique called a “dry shake” in mixology—emulsifies the egg white to create a silky foam, which adds a rich body to the drink.
Ingredients:
- 3 oz. (80 ml) chilled Pear Ginger Cocktail Mix
- 2 oz. (60 ml) chilled coconut water
- 3/4 oz. (20 ml) fresh lime juice
- 1 chilled egg white
- Sliced pear for garnish
- Nonalcoholic bitters for garnish
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, add the cocktail mix, coconut water, lime juice and egg white and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Add a handful of ice and shake again until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass or into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with the pear slices and 3 to 5 drops of nonalcoholic bitters. Using a toothpick, swirl the bitters into a simple design and serve. Makes 1 drink.
