Rated 4 out of 5 by Juniebug from A little large I really like this oven mitt. I'm a woman with medium size hands and this does feel large. But I like having one set that both my husband and I can use. After using for a few weeks I actually like that it is large because it slips on my hands easily even if they are damp. Also the fabric is thick enough that I don't feel any heat when grabbing a pan from the oven, but also flexible enough to get a good grip.Date published: 2017-01-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Jocefromguildford from So disappointed I still have my previous pair of oven gloves from Williams and sonoma (must be 5 years old). They're a bit battered and well used but still thick and protective. The new pair I have just received are thin and I really can't imagine they will protect my hands from anything. Certainly couldn't use them to lift out a heavy hot cast iron pan. Such a disappointment because I have waited to replace my well loved oven gloves with a similar pair not realising that a direct replacement no longer exists! What a shame!Date published: 2016-12-05Rated 5 out of 5 by ladybird from LOVE these oven mitts! I received these as a gift and I love them - they have since become a go-to shower gift add on. They are beautiful and high-quality. I do have larger hands and I think they're perfect, so someone with smaller hands might find these a bit cumbersome as other reviewers have stated. I think they're perfect, though!Date published: 2016-06-01Rated 1 out of 5 by froggiebaker from these must be for a giant My husband and I have been using WS oven mitts exclusively for nearly 30 years. I just ordered 3 new pairs (first time in over 5 years b/c they are so durable and wash beautifully). We were so disappointed. Compared to our old mitts, these are huge and cumbersome. Neither of us would feel safe lifting our Le Creuset pieces from the stove top to the oven, etc. Sadly, I will return them and hopefully WS will revert to the "oldies but goodies" next season.Date published: 2016-04-02Rated 2 out of 5 by Jinkys4 from Williams-Sonoma Oven Mitt Too Big Purchased these online for my mom who is a huge WS fan. We used/tried to use these during the Holidays and found them to be HUGE! I think they are cumbersome and so big they are difficult to grip baking pans, etc. Our original stripe mitts from WS are not this big so I don't know what kind of giant handed mutant they based the size of these mitts on, but I do not recommend them for anyone with slightly small hands. My hands are not even that small. My mother has same size hands as mine and couldn't even use this product. Check them at the store first to make sure they suit you.Date published: 2016-01-12Rated 5 out of 5 by chadandkimi from Great quality & durability Great even after several times through washing machine!Date published: 2016-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by TheYumyumLady from Very good quality oven mit These are the best quality oven mitts I've ever found. They're lined with a good quality terry cloth, not those flimsy linings that fall apart. They wash well. They're long enough to protect your wrists and heavy enough so you really don't feel the heat. They are still a little clumsy, especially for someone with small hands like mine, but that's the nature of oven mitts. I'll never buy any other kind.Date published: 2015-12-30Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnChristina from Great oven mitt These are the best--I buy them for myself when I need new ones, and as gifts for friends and family. They are sturdy, just thick enough so no danger of burning your hands and yet flexible to be able to get pans and casseroles out of the oven.Date published: 2015-12-27
