- More about Swiss Diamond
Based in Sierre, Switzerland, Swiss Diamond began in 1974 as a scientific research company that explored new materials and surface coatings. As the demand for nonstick cookware exploded in the 1990s, the company developed a method of reinforcing a nonstick composite with real diamond crystals. The result was an extremely hard, scratch-resistant and heat-conductive nonstick surface. In 2011, the company launched Swiss Diamond, the first cast-aluminum cookware featuring the patented coating. Swiss Diamond continues to test and improve its nonstick cookware while employing ecologically sustainable practices. Notably, it uses 100% recycled aluminum to make its cookware, the factory is powered by 100% hydroelectric power from the Swiss Alps, and the nonstick-coating production process is free of PFOA from start to finish.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Basesloaded from Love my pan This is truly a non-stick material which lasts & lasts, i've owned this pan for over a year now, use it almost everyday I even burnt rice once (accidentally of course) it did not stick at all, I was amazed, you can practically wipe it clean with a damp paper towel, I don't use metal utensils just to be safe & it almost looks brand new, I also own the pan that is shaped like a wok which I don't see on-line, but I'm planning on buying the 10-piece set & throw away all my junky old pans. Wish they came in more colors.Date published: 2015-12-17Rated 5 out of 5 by WisconsinCook from Love this pan!! I love this pan. Cooks food beautifully. You can just feel the quality of the pan. Will purchase another size in the future...Date published: 2015-03-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Ellendy from So Far, So Good! I purchased the smaller one to make eggs when I'm home alone, and plan on getting the two larger sizes soon. It seems to be wearing well. Most non-stick pans peter out in a few years despite my diligent cleaning, but I have high hopes for this one. The coating seems to be very durable, and I love the weight of the pan. The eggs from our backyard chickens are sliding right out of the pan with no residue left.Date published: 2014-03-31Rated 3 out of 5 by kikiJ from Give it Time I bought my pan in early 2012 and already food is sticking to it. I have not used any steel wool on it. I went to the shop who sold it to me and they offered me a powder that removes film. I tried this and it did not help much. So I used a brush and ajax to get hard food stuck to it (one day I burned food). I was told to call the company about their guarantee and that is what I will do. I was also told that is was safe to use forks on, however that was rarely done. Don't know if I over used it but food does get stuck on mine now and there are wear marks on it. Wonderful when new.Date published: 2013-11-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Karensbs from Excellent pan Excellent pan for cooking whatever you like. Eggs just slide right out.Date published: 2013-11-24Rated 5 out of 5 by BRUN from My favorite for egg dishes. This is absolutely perfect in every way - comfortable weight to handle - straight yet rounded sides - no visible sign of handle attachment to collect food particles - no sticking !!! A winner ! I would recommend it to everyone.Date published: 2013-09-25Rated 5 out of 5 by dede3 from Love this pan! This is now my favorite pan, it is everything and more that it claims to be. Wish it had a lid.Date published: 2013-06-13Rated 5 out of 5 by SusanA2013 from Best there is! Great to eggs and fish. I use very little oil and it cooks evenly!Date published: 2013-05-03
