Cocktails should be fun, easy and, most importantly, delicious. In that spirit, Williams Sonoma is partnering with Cocktail Courier to deliver kits right to your doorstep that include everything you need to whip up craft cocktails from the world's best professional bartenders. The recipe for the Agua Desierto was created by Laila Grainawi, one of the creative bartenders at Cocktail Courier. Her drink highlights the sweet-tart flavor and brilliant color of prickly pears, fruit of the Opuntia cactus native to the southwestern U.S. and Mexico. The vibrant magenta hue of its juice creates an innovative cocktail that's perfect to enjoy year-round.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. (60 ml) pisco
  • 3/4 oz. (20 ml) prickly pear syrup
  • 3/4 oz. (20 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 3 drops Bittercube Jamaican #2 Bitters
  • Freshly grated lime zest for garnish

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the pisco, prickly pear syrup, lime juice and bitters. Shake vigorously until well chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with the lime zest and serve. Makes 1 drink.
