Will be ordering a less expensive, adequate non-ruster today.Date published: 2019-06-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason from By far the best kitchen shears out there I've owned these shears for about 6 years now, and use them constantly to cut up whole raw chickens (for my dog, who eats raw chicken for one of his two meals daily). They are the only ones that easily cut through bone, and the spring is a key design feature which makes the cutting much easier. Most shears are garbage that can barely cut anything, but these cut through cooked and raw meat with ease. I have also used these on large cooked turkeys at Thanksgiving time, which has been great as well. There have been negative reviews about this product because it rusts - yes, my spring rusted as well, but that has not stopped the product from performing amazingly well. IMHO, these are the only shears worth getting.Date published: 2018-05-28Rated 5 out of 5 by TSexton from Wing-tastic Makes extremely quick work cutting down chicken wings for those weekend football games. No problem with grip that I have observed. Do not wash in dishwasher as instructed and these should last a lifetime. Though I question if the rust observed by others is from the handle or shear blade as the description clearly states 'Stainless Steel blades/handles'. Maybe the spring or bolt holding them together is rusting and bleeding onto the handles as described by others.Date published: 2014-11-28Rated 1 out of 5 by squinkmom from not worth it Bad Bad Bad! The center spring pops out plus it has rusted.Date published: 2014-10-15Rated 5 out of 5 by EFaure from A "Cadillac" Nice. Solid metal. Sharp. Simple. Accomplishes task at-hand. A bit pricey. Watch out for your own fingers! Yes, slippery when wet. Overall, very satisfied. Good product. Time will tell how they hold up... It kept getting worse. Also, unless you're wearing food-prep gloves, they're slippery to handle. I used my Amex purchase protection to get a full refund and will replace these with the Oxo version.Date published: 2013-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Mismax from Best way to break down a chicken These shears make quick work of breaking down a chicken. Clean cuts with no tearing of skin or meat. I plan to buy several as Christmas gifts.Date published: 2012-11-08
