The machine offers five smart program settings that automatically detect the size of the container in use, so foods are perfectly blended according to volume and consistency. A built-in programmable timer can be set to stop the blender when processing is complete, so you don't have to monitor its progress.
- Five program settings—Smoothies, Hot Soups, Dips & Spreads, Frozen Desserts and Self-Cleaning—automatically adjust times and speeds for the container selected and stop the blender when done.
- Compatible with Self-Detect containers, so you can create multiple batches from the same machine—then store, serve, or transport (available Spring 2017).
- Programmable Timer shows blend time countdown and can be set to automatically stop when processing is complete.
- Tamper presses thick or frozen mixtures towards blade, so you never have to stop to scrape sides down.
- Blades are laser-cut from hardened stainless steel for the ultimate precision and durability.

- Green Goddess Dressing Recipe
In a Vitamix blender, combine the chives, parsley, tarragon, basil, anchovies, shallot, lemon juice, mayonnaise and buttermilk. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
Pour the dressing into a liquid measuring cup and season with salt. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 3 days before using. Makes about 1 1/2 cups (12 fl. oz./375 ml).

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dr M from Not worth the money Bought an A3500 as I thought it would be the end all be all of blenders. Disappointing. Locks up and does does blend even an Isagenix shake thoroughly.Date published: 2018-06-09Rated 3 out of 5 by Jojo from Good product It works well, spins and spins, chips stuff up real nice. Makes it all soupy. And it’s loud, so sometimes I turn it on to drown out the kid’s screaming, so that’s a nice bonus.Date published: 2018-04-19Rated 3 out of 5 by HealthyMaMa from Powerful but . . . Okay, so I really wanted to love this, but . . . 1st off I want to say this blender is still super powerful. The quality is still superb. With that that said I had a few issues with this model: 1. The container. I know that I could just purchase a different container, but the one this comes with, I hate the lid. I feel like I might accidentally break it whenever I put it on and take it off. May not be an issue for some, but I honestly hate this container. 2. The touchscreen on this thing. Great in theory. I like that it is easily wipeable. But that is it. Easy to clean but really not at all reliable. If your hands are too cold, or you haven’t dried your hands completely this will not respond. 3. When you go in to blend. Yes, I start at one then work my way up, but with that said it is so not like the video. It will splatter like crazy instead of that beautiful video you see where all the stuff gets sucked to the bottom and gets pulverized. But with lots of scraping, it does pulverize even the tiniest hemp seed. Basically this is just not the greatest model. I honestly suggest people get the old school non touchscreen model, which is actually what I will be exchanging this thing for.Date published: 2018-04-15Rated 4 out of 5 by Shayxdee from Upgraded to the A3500 Well where do I begin...I had the Professional Series 750 for 5 years and it was perfect!! My cousin wanted one, so I gifted her mine which was in perfect shape since I didn’t allow anyone to touch. :-) Anyway, I got the A3500 in December 2017 and its okay I think I need to get use to the plastic top and the wide container that’s a hazard when pouring your smoothies in a cup. Also, it’s all digital so that’s another adjustment. Long story short, I prefer the Professional Series 750 over any blender including the A3500.Date published: 2018-03-21Rated 5 out of 5 by jng5t from Great Features I don't know why I waited! I recently bought my Vitamix A3500 and was trying to decide between this one and the 750. I have only had it for a few days but I don't know why I waited so long to purchase a Vitamix. We bought this blender because my husband and I were sick of buying blenders every year since we use our blender 4 to 5 times a week. What attracted me to Vitamix was the 10 year warranty and all the great reviews. In the short time we have had it we have made smoothies and soups. I love the preset features. I see this being something we will use daily. If you are thinking about getting a Vitamix I say just go for it! I have friends and family who have had there Vitamix's for 6 plus years and have had no issues and still use their blenders daily. I say it is worth the investment and I wish I would have purchased my blender sooner. It would have saved me three years of purchasing the other brands I have in the past.Date published: 2018-01-07Rated 5 out of 5 by chefluv from I love this Vitamix I contemplated between the 750 and the Ascent 3500. I finally chose the 3500 due to the 20 oz containers that coud be used with this one for single smoothies. This is the best vitamix I have ever owner. This makes my third one. The reason is not because they go out, but because they keep getting better. I love the 20 oz containers, they are so handy and convenient. Easy to carry. This blender makes excellent smoothies, sauces, soups, nut butters, etc. Anything you can imagine, you can make in this blender. Thanks Vitamix!Date published: 2017-09-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert from Great blender, but..... First, this is a great blender, everything we have made in it has been perfect. Smoothies are better than anything you will get in a shop. Using the Vitamix to process the bananas rather than a food processor seemed to release more of the banana flavor than I have ever gotten making muffins. When I made marinara sauce I only cored the tomatoes leaving the seeds and skin. Both completely disappeared in the sauce. I don't know how this blender could work any better. The programed settings are great and well worth the extra price to me. Now for a couple of things you need to be aware of. When the blender was demonstrated in the store, it didn't seem that loud. However, in my much smaller kitchen with all hard surfaces it is very loud. I measured the sound level at arm's length away at 108db. In the 6 minutes or so that it takes to make soup, that well exceeds the OSHA standards. I wear ear protection when blending at the higher speeds, see picture below. I debated between buying the A3500 and the 750. The 750 is a proven product and there are lots of accessories available for it. I like the touch screen operation on the A3500 more than I thought I would, it works perfectly and is easy to clean. At the time I bought the A3500 there were no accessories available for it but I was told that the 20 oz and 8 oz containers would be available in the spring. Finally the 20 oz containers came out and they have been great for when I wanted to make a single smoothie. At the end of June I ordered the 8 oz containers in the store and was told that I would receive them in about 10 days. Since then there has been a series of delays with the current projection for delivery August 16, we'll see.. While Vitamix says that there will be new features for the Ascent series in the future there is nothing definite. That and the repeated delays delivering the 20 and 8 oz containers make me question Vitamix's commitment to the Ascent series. So, if things like a dedicated grain container are important to you, you might want to consider another model such as the 750. Otherwise, it would be hard to find a better blender.Date published: 2017-08-07Rated 4 out of 5 by Heartwhisperer from The blender is great. Beware of the accessories. Fantastic blender that makes the best smoothies I have ever had. Very powerful and loud. The blending cup attachment "rode up" and the subsequent grinding while disengaging put some needless premature wear on my 1 week old blender's drive socket. I would recommend holding the cup if you buy this attachment. No problems with the standard pitcher.Date published: 2017-07-27
