Rated 5 out of 5 by from We we very surprised At first when i told my wofe I purchased this she was perplexed. She asked if this really was something we needed. Boy oh boy - she is now a believer. This thing is great. You will need to experiment a couple of times before you determine the consistency and flavor you like for each recipe. If you have your own too it works great. Soup is hot. This thing provides for great smooth or chunky soups. Great milk fubction for soups that require dairy. Have not used for compote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this soup maker I like Philips products, and debated on whether this one was 'necessary'. It's fast becoming a weekly necessity for me. I love soup but most bought and mix soups lack flavor and freshness. It's often time consuming to cook soups. This product creates and cooks soup quickly and perfectly, and the wide variety of recipes provided are all using fresh produce. All I've tried are good, too. I like 'down home' soups more than the Philips cooks seem to, but I've adapted my soups with no problems.
