How long can you keep Pies and Cakes frozen and retain freshness? Looking at Pecan Pie, Cherry Pie, Lavender Rose Cake and PB Banana Cke.Hi PDPD, As long as you keep the plastic on the pie/cake, it should retain its freshness until you're ready to thaw and serve. For the pies: Upon receipt, remove the dessert from the bakery box and with the plastic still intact, store in the freezer for up to 3 months, or defrost in the refrigerator overnight and keep for up to 3 days. For the cakes: Upon receipt, remove the cake from the bakery box and with the plastic still intact, store in the freezer for up to 3 months, or defrost in the refrigerator overnight and keep for up to 7 days.Date published: 2019-01-28
