Rated 5 out of 5 by EyeDuhHoeAn from Nice - high quality I really enjoy having a stainless steel drum for a salad spinner. The salad spinner has a pleasant, solid feel to it because of the stainless steel (SS). The small added weight of the SS and the rubber bottom pad helps the spinner operate securely on the counter top.Date published: 2016-05-05Rated 5 out of 5 by lauriepg from Incredible Salad Spinner This is an amazing product & well worth the price. I can set this spinner spinning & walk away from it. The plastic grip bottom really grips!Date published: 2015-07-12Rated 5 out of 5 by NDawg from Great Looking & Functional I used to make fun of salad spinners until I used this one while cooking with a friend. She decided on a light lunch and I was to help prep. After I washed our Romaine, I was carefully placing it on a towel to drive. Well out comes the salad spinner and my friend tells me to give it a try before making fun. I did; it worked great! Big leaves, small leaves, herbs, nothing could stop this thing. I dried without bruising, and when it was time for cleanup, what a snap to complete. I ordered one for my place the next day.Date published: 2015-03-30Rated 1 out of 5 by oohhllyyhhoo from Looks Great, "Stop" Button Not Effective I am trying to phase out as much plastic from my kitchen as possible so I switched over to the stainless-steel spinner from the older plastic version I used for years. Sadly, I do not find that the push "stop" button works as effectively. You need to hold it down while the basket sloooowwwly drags to a stop. The previous plastic model would stop on a dime, aiding in quick, effective drying. I'm not sure if mine is defective or if it's just not as good.Date published: 2015-03-08Rated 5 out of 5 by pattyl2014 from Great Salad Spinner I so love this salad spinner! The handle on my old one broke (Kitchen Aid) it was an upright handle that you had to push down to spin. The handle on this OXO is flat, you just pump it, there's no way that it could snap. I really like the stainless steel bowl, though you can purchase this with a plastic bowl for less. I'm very happy & would highly recommend this to anyone!Date published: 2014-11-16Rated 5 out of 5 by GoldensRule from Love Spinning I love this spinner. I had the OXO version in all plastic but for whatever reason decided to give this stainless version a try and I'm glad I did. It just works great and I love using the stainless steel bowl to serve the salad in as well, so much nicer than the plastic version. So far no complaints I'm very happy with my purchase and my daughter is happy too as she got my plastic version.Date published: 2014-08-04Rated 5 out of 5 by 2BBride from Fantastic, love the design. Was a gift. It shipped quickly and was packaged well. Sleek, elegant design. Love the little brake button. It's also nice to not have to crank a lever around-and-around -- all you do is the black lever in the middle a few times and it keeps spinning for you at a good speed. Stainless steel bowl can be used to serve food in as well.Date published: 2014-07-21Rated 5 out of 5 by JuliasChild from I'd Give It More Stars If I Could! Over the years I've been through my share of salad spinners. Some worked better than others, but none had the structure and versatility of this one. It's great for lettuce and other greens, of course. But also for drying veggies like chopped peppers for freezing and like uses. Today I used it to dry washed raspberries for a pie, and it did a super job where other spinners might have turned the berries into mush. I really like that you can control how much torque you give the spin. The other features--non-slip bottom, a really sharp looking stainless steel bowl that can double as a salad bowl when necessary, a sturdy colander and the fact that it is easy to clean--all are pluses that make this spinner well worth the money. I highly recommend it.Date published: 2014-06-12
