A Korean meal accompaniment made with fermented vegetables, kimchi is loaded with vitamins A, B and C and it makes for a delicious way to incorporate gut-friendly probiotics into your diet. With this kit, you can make perfect kimchi with less than 10 minutes of active prep time. The kit was developed by Brooklyn-based cook Khadeem Oh, who worked with his Korea-born mother to develop an all-natural kimchi paste that makes perfect small-batch kimchi every time.
- Kit includes one packet of kimchi paste and a 2-qt.-cap. glass jar with two lids—a fermentation lock lid to use during the fermenting process, and a solid lid for storing finished kimchi.
- One jar of paste makes approx. 1/2 gallon of kimchi from five pounds of cabbage or other fermentable vegetable.
- All natural and preservative-free.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

I made about 2 gallons last year.. I used it with everything ~ in soups, on sandwiches, with omelettes, over rice, in stews; vegetarian chili; on meats & mixed with other vegetables. I also eat it straight from the jar and with bagel chips; towards the bottom of the jar, I puree what's left and put it into tomato basil soup.. The only place I didn't use it is on ice cream and cakes. All I did was brine my cabbage for 7 hours, drain, rinse, add the paste with green onion and cilantro. Mix and put everything into the glass jar and DONE!! It's fun and the Mama O jar is super cute on the counter! Definitely recommend this to everyone. We made GREAT kimchi with this kit and it was SO easy! We used a variety of veggies from our garden: regular cabbage, Vietnamese herbs and greens, and cucumber, and it was great! The airlock works like a charm! The instructions were simple, clear and totally accurate, and I watched the great, short video on their site, too. When I PM'd Mama O's on Facebook for advice (could I use other vegetables, regular cabbage, etc.) they responded immediately! We now have 22lbs of cucumbers from our garden, & I'm buying more of their great kimchi pastes so we can make cucumber-ramp kimchi!! :-) I got this as a gift for my chef husband (and I), and we were both Very pleased with it- it's truly a GREAT kit to get as a gift for the "foodie" in your life!Date published: 2015-07-31Rated 4 out of 5 by Kriggie from Easy enough 15 minutes in description is extremely optimistic, not that I expected it to be accurate. The process is easy enough but takes fifteen minutes to cut the cabbage. The next day process was 15-20 minutes. Didn't run a timer. I bought 5 lbs cabbage but didn't cut it all. Used about 2.5 lbs and had about an inch left in the jar. The gloves were large but not big enough for my hands. Try before hand as you may want to get an XL size. And they are not pre-talced. As stated above the process is easy and total time is less than an hour for homemade Kimchi. The real test will be in a couple of days. One addition, I boiled the water and let it cool for the brine.
