- More about Le Creuset
The first Le Creuset foundry opened in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, and specialized in cast-iron cookware. The cast-iron pieces are still made at the original factory, using the traditional techniques of hand forging and casting in individual sand molds. The brightly pigmented porcelain-enamel glaze that first set Le Creuset cookware apart from other cast-iron cookware now comes in a wide range of traditional and contemporary colors. In 2013, Le Creuset began producing innovative stainless-steel cookware in Portugal with lids that incorporate the same signature three-ring design as the company's classic cast-iron pieces. This stainless-steel collection was awarded the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for product design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flowercita from Just what I needed I'm very satisfied with this product. Even thought is heavy for me, I really love it.Date published: 2015-05-17Rated 1 out of 5 by HazelButtercup from Terrible for induction stovetop I have tried this several times hoping it will get better but it doesn't work with my Gaggenau induction stove top. The heat is very uneven so everything cooks unevenly. Also, the handles are so flat that it is very difficult to pick up the griddle when it is hot and on the stovetop. I'm on the hunt to find a better griddle for use with induction.Date published: 2015-04-07Rated 5 out of 5 by FunnyMommyCooks from More than a Griddle One of my "go-to" items in my kitchen for the past 6 years....from simply warming up a flour tortilla, making pancakes or grilling salmon to perfection this dual-sided griddle has countless uses! I own several LeCreuset pieces and by far this griddle has surpassed the number of times I've used any other piece from my collection! Cleans up easily simply with a cloth or napkin....but to clean after grilling, I use mild soap/water to remove any food residue, dry, then ad a small dab of olive oil & spread to restore the cast iron so it's ready for the next meal! I have not had any issues with range/cooktop fit over the burners--I have used it on 2 different stoves (Thermidor/Viking).Date published: 2014-11-30Rated 1 out of 5 by UANYC from Poor heat distribution I had two issues with this griddle. First, the heat from the burners under it doesn't distribute at all, so you get extremely uneven cooking. Second, the griddle is shorter than other double burner griddles so there is alway exposed flame at one end of the grill. If you have a smaller stove top you may not have this issue, but the heat distribution alone is reason not to buy.Date published: 2013-04-13Rated 1 out of 5 by PILIGONZALEZ from Poor quality I bought this item a year ago, and I've use it 3 times only. I put it over my induction stove, and today the handle broke when I was cooking with it. Poor quality for such a price!Date published: 2012-11-12Rated 5 out of 5 by GrillMimi from Love to Grill This grill pan is everything I wanted it to be. I love to grill and now I get perfect grill marks on my meats and vegetables on my gas range when weather prohibits grilling outside.Date published: 2012-10-28
