This Emile Henry ruffled baker is shaped from Burgundian clay, which absorbs, distributes and retains heat evenly, so gratins, casseroles and lasagnas brown to perfection. - More about Emile Henry
Emile Henry has been crafting artful kitchen ceramics since 1850, when the French company was founded in a small town in Burgundy. Today, it’s still proudly owned and operated by members of the Henry family. The mineral-rich soils of Burgundy are known for creating wines with unique terroir, but they also yield the special local clays used to craft each piece of Emile Henry cookware and bakeware. The high-fired clay withstands extremely high temperatures while distributing and retaining heat gently and evenly. Artisans hand apply the glazes to create vivid color that looks beautiful in the kitchen and at the table.
Rated 5 out of 5 by starbuckszombie from Absolutely love it! The pan is a workhorse in the kitchen! Dishes I have prepared have come out perfectly! I especially love the deeper handles on these bakers! When using large, silicone pot handles, your hands and fingers have plenty of space to grip the handles without risk of dropping the pan. I want several moreDate published: 2017-09-20Rated 5 out of 5 by SuSu from Love it! I have used Emile Henry bakeware for quite a few years. I have one of the large bakers which is more curved around the edges on the inside rather than straight. I have purchased many caramel in color pieces. Beautiful, functional, even baking and easy to clean. However, I fell in love with the Teal color which is being discontinued. I purchased this large baker and have been thrilled with it. I have made double batches of many of my recipes and this baker is perfect. It has become my favorite go-to baker. Emile Henry is my absolute favorite brand and once you bake with it, you will truly understand.Date published: 2017-08-27Rated 5 out of 5 by CaveCreeker from Stylish and rinses clean Although a bit pricier than others, I invested in the EH rectangular baker and am so pleased I have order the square one also. It washed up so easily and looks great as a serving dish. Beautiful and bakes great.Date published: 2016-10-18Rated 5 out of 5 by CJ3167 from My Ultimate Favorite Bakeware I truly LOVE Henry Emile Bakeware! Not only is it beautiful, it is durable, not too heavy, chip resistant, cleans up very well and can be taken from the frige to the oven with no worries of cracking! I already own the large rectangle baker but without the ruffles, so I ordered this small one to use in my Breville Smart Oven and it fits just as well as the Emile's loaf and pie bakers! Oh, I always order the Carmel color in this Bakeware as it is so beautiful and this line makes a huge presentation at any lunch/dinner setting! I wish Henry Emile would consider making oval and round haped baking dishes with lids to make stews and casseroles, etc.Date published: 2016-07-29Rated 3 out of 5 by Nanagolfer from Dimensions are not correct I love Emile Henry products, however I was disappointed that the measurements given were from the outside handle instead of the true usable dimensions. I was looking for a specific size and scrolled down to the dimensions to check the size. When I received the casserole I measured it as it looked smaller than I had thought. Please measure the usable space. I returned it with no problem. Just a little disappointed.Date published: 2016-05-13Rated 5 out of 5 by ScottishTerrierLover from From oven to table presentation I have both this and the square one. These are my go to baking dishes for everything. I have both in the caramel color. Nothing that I have ever baked has stuck to these pans that couldn't be removed by simply washing with a washcloth. I highly recommend both.Date published: 2016-05-12Rated 5 out of 5 by NOLAartist from Perfect baker for two - or three - or four! I ordered this piece for a number of reasons. I own the Emile Henry Pie Plate and it's such a wonderful piece. I needed a baker that was a bit smaller than what I now own, as there is just two of us now. This turned out to be the exact size I was looking for. I baked stuffed manicotti and seven stuffed shells (1/2 box) fit exactly. This was enough for my husband and me and could have easily fed two others, so it made a perfect leftover. Other bakers are way too large and I have a feeling that I will make lots of dishes for 2-4 in this. Another great benefit is that it can go from freezer to oven and under the broiler. So many baking dishes don't mention the ability to go under a broiler and, in fact, the last CW products I purchased specifically states that it cannot go under the broiler. Any other bakers I purchase will definitely be Emile Henry! Love it!Date published: 2016-03-26
