Master pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon crafts our croissants in the traditional French style, using his buttery, award-winning puff pastry, cutting and shaping the pastries by hand. Shipped frozen, they are easy to prepare—just let rise overnight and then bake. The croissants emerge from the oven with flaky, golden-brown exteriors, delicate interiors and an irresistible buttery aroma. There’s no simpler way to bring a taste of France to the breakfast table.

- Use & Care
- The croissants ship frozen with dry ice. Please take care not to touch the dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, remove croissants from the shipping container and place in the freezer, where they will keep for up to one month.
- Place the frozen croissants, rounded side up, on a nonstick or parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover loosely with a sheet of parchment paper. Let rise at room temperature (68° to 72°F) for about 9 hours or overnight. Each croissant should measure about 4 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" high. Preheat an oven to 375°F. Remove the top parchment paper. If desired, lightly beat 1 egg with 1 Tbs. cold water and, using a pastry brush, brush the croissants with the egg wash. Bake the croissants until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, enzyme, ascorbic acid [dough conditioner]), butter, water, sugar, yeast, salt, dough conditioner (wheat flour, malted barley flour, ascorbic acid [dough conditioner], enzymes).

They're as good as the ones at my favorite French cafe in NYC and possibly better -- and that's before adding the fact that I don't need to leave home to get them! They arrived thoroughly frozen, with solid dry ice left in the shipping container. The container itself is a large styrofoam cooler that impressed me greatly as well. We were surprised at how they ballooned in size, first overnight, then even more in the oven. Delicious. Fresh and hot, better-tasting than our local bakery, and we can always keep them on hand in the freezer. When WS has a sale, they are cheaper than our local bakery too. Be sure always to brush with beaten egg before baking - gives you a beautiful dark crisp crust, like Paris. They seem to rise fine, but no matter how long I cook them (once I left them in a bit too long) they still seem doughy on the inside. You take one bit and they flatten like a pancake. Opened the box, placed four on baking sheets lined with parchment paper overnight to thaw.... Next morning, 12 hours later, preheated the oven and popped them in. About 12 minutes in our oven we had wonderfully browned fresh croissants - better than any bakery for miles. They rose perfectly and were crisp, light and airy and not limp like so many bakeries around here have. These are the real deal. Such a nice treat for Sunday brunch at home. They can be frozen up to three months so we are ordering another box and planning Sunday brunch for the two of us for several months to come. Be sure to let them thaw overnight at least 12 hours at room temperature. I just popped them on the baking sheet and in the unheated oven overnight, then took them out while the oven pre-heated, and back in when the oven was ready. I got up on Christmas day and surprised her with croissants and her Traverse City cherry preserves. They were buttery, flake and melt in you mouth goodness...I would recommend the croissants to the hardest to please foodies. (Maybe rose too much.) (Less expensive than this bakery too!) Recommend purchasing if you want fresh hot croissants on a moments notice, if can keep frozen until needed, and can have the time to thaw and allow to rise for 9 hours before baking. Bake quickly, so watch. They arrived in excellent condition, in an ice chest with dry ice. They are very small (~3"x1"), so repackaged into quart zip locks, 6 to a bag. Thawed/rose 6 immediately, so had same day fresh croissants. Spaced 6 (max.) to a cookie sheet on parchment paper.
