Inspired by the traditional Italian chicken dish, our cacciatore (”hunter-style”) sauce is a savory blend of wild mushrooms, tomatoes, white wine and herbs. The ingredients are slowly simmered for hours, resulting in a hearty, flavorful sauce with rich flavor. Preparation for you is simple: Just combine the base with chicken, simmer and serve.

- White wine, tomatoes, onions, portabella mushrooms, chicken stock (water, chicken broth, salt, natural flavor), tomato paste, garlic, parmesan cheese (cow’s milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes), extra-virgin olive oil, spices, carrots, sugar, sea salt, citric acid.
- Contains milk. Contains sulfites. This product is prepared and packaged using machines that may come in contact with wheat/gluten, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, eggs, peanuts, soy.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

Season a 4-lb. (2-kg) chicken, cut into 8 serving pieces, with salt and pepper.
In a Dutch oven or deep sauté pan over medium heat, warm 3 Tbs. oil. Working in batches, brown the chicken on all sides, adding more oil to the pan as needed. Transfer the chicken to a platter. Pour off the excess oil from the pan. Return the chicken to the pan and add the Chicken Cacciatore Braising Sauce. Cover and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes. Uncover the pan and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes more.

My daughter salted the chicken breasts before sauteing and she added some crushed garlic to the pot. Upon eating, the dish needed just a little sprinkling of salt (and I'm not one to add salt at the table). My husband purchased the cacciatore sauce but the one he received was red in color...tomato based. However the picture and comments indicate that it is not tomato based. Did the recipe change or did we receive one that is incorrectly labeled?
