Rated 5 out of 5 by QUALITYORIENTED from NICE AND EASY After more than three minutes watching the son of the presenter whisk slowly, I gave UP! PLEASE! Get it over with and show the rest of the process as this was a time waster which went on and on. Yes, I am criticizing the video for I simply wanted to know QUICKLY how to use it! More than three minutes is a lot of slow whisking! Boy, was the presenter trying to raise the son's self esteem! But my time is limited and shopping on-line can take a while, at best! More than three minutes of WHISKING milk and sugar at a VERY slow pace? ANYWHO, the ice cream maker is as good as the reviewers are saying. But more planning ahead is necessary than merely putting the Sweet Spot in the freezer for twenty-four hours. You must have cream around too, along with the other ingredients.Date published: 2017-08-17Rated 5 out of 5 by jwake from Great ice cream maker Thank goodness you can only make 1/2 cup at a time, because this is a great ice cream maker and the ice cream base that you can also purchase from Williams-Sonoma is so creamy and delicious! I keep this bowl in my freezer all of the time so that it is ready to go as soon as I am ready. It really freezes the ice cream very quickly, and you can make more before it thaws out too much.Date published: 2016-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by BerryGirl from IT REALLY WORKS! tried two of the recipes: both tasted great. Last batch was taking too long so we ate it soft. I'll be buying another!Date published: 2016-08-29Rated 4 out of 5 by MAteacher from Easy to use and fun to eat! I purchased this item to make frozen yogurt. It works very well and is easy to use. It needs to be frozen so you need to plan in advance.Date published: 2016-08-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Theophylline from Ice Cream Party This is a fast and easy way to make ice cream. The only planning ahead required is to leave the base in the freezer for 24 hrs. I just store it in the freezer so it's always ready. Because it makes individual servings, it's great for a party where each person can add their own toppings to the basic recipe. I have two bases so I can have two flavors being mixed at once. This is not the maker to use if you need to make a large quantity of one flavor. It works great for small servings. I can make a fruit and yogurt smoothie in the morning, and in the evening add the leftovers to the base for a quick and delicious frozen yogurt. And I love quick and delicious.Date published: 2016-06-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Michelle1960 from Great for parties! It has finally gotten warmer and my family loves having ice cream parties. Instead of going to Cold Stone or one of those other ice cream shops, now we can make our own ice cream at home! We've tried a number of different recipes both for ice cream and sorbet and it's fun and easy.Date published: 2016-05-04
