Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin from Great pan! Be prepared for cleanup time The pan is wonderful on a gas stove. It feels great in hand, and absolutely everything browns nicely. Temps are rather even, but expect slight unevenness if you are cooking on a small burner. It browns foods very nicely, and we've had great success making reductions. The one chore with this pan is cleanup, which can take longer than cook time if you want to keep it looking new.Date published: 2018-03-07Rated 5 out of 5 by vettemom from Great frying pan I had used the All Clad and other non-stick fry pans and eventually they failed miserably. Ifinally bought this 14" pan and I am very happy with it. I cooked bacon and eggs on it and it worked better than the non-stick (after less than 1 year). I preheat the pan well before I put eggs in it and have no problem. Fish and chicken is a breeze!Date published: 2018-02-23Rated 5 out of 5 by PhilPDX from One Big Fabulous Pan This may be the most important piece of cookware I own! The 14" pan is big and solid. Nothing sticks. It cleans and shines up beautifully. Another example of All-Clad quality and worth every penny!Date published: 2016-12-01Rated 5 out of 5 by oregondream from Excellent Pan Love this pan for searing meat. Such a dream to use. Worth the money.Date published: 2016-11-26Rated 5 out of 5 by KathyLovesCats from Good - but not for eggs! I got the 10' d5 Stainless-Steel Fry Pan mainly to fry eggs for breakfast. . I read the reviews for the All-Clad d5 non stick fry pan and they weren't very good. Almost everyone that had used it for a year or less had problems with the non stick. So I got the stainless steel fry pan instead. Do not get a stainless steel fry pan for eggs! There was no way you could keep the egg from sticking. Within two day I ordered a William Sonoma non stick fry pan, but they lost the fry pan somewhere and it was over two week before we got it. During that time we had to use the d5 Stainless steel fry pan. We tried everything we could think of including scrambled eggs to keep them from sticking. I think that cooking eggs on any stainless steel fry pan would probably be the same. I have 4 pieces of All-Clad d5 stainless steel pans and I love them all. But not for frying eggs!Date published: 2016-01-31Rated 5 out of 5 by FoodieChef1205 from First All-Clad plan I love this pan! I had read some of the negative reviews and decided that it was the user and not the pan that created a dislike for it. The key is to let the pan completely warm up for a few minutes before putting in oil, butter, etc to begin frying. I had wanted to take the leap long ago, but waited. I love the pan for frying and using the bits at the bottom to make gravies or sauces. Cleanup was easy, suggest you get Bar Keeper's Friend- really helps keep the shine of pan.Date published: 2015-03-04Rated 5 out of 5 by JR212 from The Best Quality with All-Clad These fry pans were a great addition to the many All-Clad d5 pieces that I own. In the description of this pan it states its 12” pan, but in the reviews two people mentioned it was a 14” pan. Which is it?
