Rated 5 out of 5 by ChefDeJour from Mr. Potato Masher Loves It The official mashed potato maker in our household loves it. He use to use a ricer but was constantly fussing about cleaning it. Decided to purchase this for him. He says it is even better than the ricer and of course much easier to clean, very comfortable in his hand. Having had his mashed potatoes, I'd agree. Excellent results and better than the ricer.Date published: 2019-06-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Kristin72 from Great masher I bought this masher a few months ago and absolutely love it. It is heavy duty and works phenomenal on all kinds of potatoes. Clean up is so easy, nothing seems to stock to it.Date published: 2017-12-23Rated 2 out of 5 by PMacW from Wish it was available in silicone. This is another one of the tools that WS does not provide a silicone counterpart. Yes, I could use this in another bowl, but I like the option of mashing potatoes in the pot. I love WS tools, and like everything to match, so I wish they had a safe option for non-stick.Date published: 2016-01-20Rated 4 out of 5 by HannahMary from Handy kitchen tool Best of two worlds: hand held potato masher to use right in the pot and texture of a ricer. Does the job very nicely.Date published: 2015-01-21Rated 4 out of 5 by KayLeo from Very comfortable. Mashing potatoes can be strenuous task, especially if you're making them in bulk. The ergonomic handle is very comfortable to hold and makes mashing potatoes a little bit easier. However, I like to make my mashed potatoes with a little bit more texture. The small holes in this masher gives the mashed potatoes a little smoother, velvety texture. If that is how you like your mashed potatoes, great! This will be perfect for you. If you are like me and prefer it to be a little chunky with more texture, stick to the old fashioned stuff with the grill-looking masher.Date published: 2014-06-09Rated 5 out of 5 by LavenderBlue from Great Design, Durable I have been looking for a potato masher that is very durable (won't bend) and is all stainless steel (no breakable plastic) with a waffle head. (And one that is easy to clean). This W.S. meets those expectations and is 18/10 durable/quality stainless steel so it won't rust either. It mashes nicely and is comfortable to use! I also purchased the Rosle potato masher that is almost identical, but Williams Sonoma wins this time in design. Below the handle, the "prongs" that support the waffle head are sturdier/thicker on the W.S. and the waffle head itself is a bit thicker/sturdier than the head on the Rosle. So, I returned the Rosle masher and kept the W.S. masher. (I do have the Rosle all stainless steel can opener, garlic press and nut cracker (again NO breakable plastic parts on any) and am extremely pleased with those Rosle items).Date published: 2014-02-24
