LAURA
BROWNING

Bay Area artist Laura Browning creates oil paintings that capture the rhythm and movement of water. With each painting, Laura strives to capture the feeling of being near water through layers of transparent oil glazes. Though her subject matter is constant, each canvas has subtle differences. She varies the rhythmic pattern and blue, turquoise, and gray color palette to suggest the constant change and versatility of her subject matter. Her manipulations of the subject capture the mystery and intrigue of water.
