Homemade almond milk is free of preservatives and can be used for cooking, baking, pouring over cereal or adding to coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (24 fl. oz./720 ml) water
  • 1 cup (4 1/2 oz./140 g) almonds
  • 2 dates (1 oz./30 g), pitted

Directions:

In a Vitamix blender, combine all the ingredients and secure the lid.

Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 60 seconds. Makes about 3 3/4 cups (30 fl. oz./960 ml).
