Diane's Bloody Mary
For 25 years, Diane Mina—wife and partner of acclaimed chef Michael Mina—has been perfecting her Bloody Mary blend. She began cultivating her home garden to create the ultimate Bloody Mary ingredients. The result is her own unique blend of heirloom tomatoes, lovage and a few secret spices. Here we use her mix with vodka, the traditional spirit for making a Bloody Mary, but the drink is equally delicious made with gin or tequila—or try it with your own favorite spirit.
- 1 1/2 oz. (45 ml) vodka
- 3/4 cup (6 fl. oz./180 ml) Diane’s Bloody Mary Original Mixer
- Pickled vegetables, olives, 1 slice cooked bacon, a celery stalk or a citrus wedge for garnish (optional)
In a highball glass filled with ice cubes, combine the vodka and Bloody Mary mixer. Stir to combine. Garnish as desired and serve immediately. Makes 1 drink.
