Our nostalgic peppermint bark is often copied but never matched in quality or flavor. The once-a-year favorite is handcrafted using the finest ingredients, including custom-blended Guittard chocolate and triple-distilled oil of peppermint. Master candy makers pour a layer of melted dark chocolate on a marble table and then top it with a layer of creamy white chocolate. This "bark" is finished with a snowfall of handmade peppermint candy pieces. The result is an unforgettable holiday confection with a perfect harmony of flavors and textures in every bite.

  • This item cannot be shipped to Hawaii but is available for purchase at our Honolulu retail store.
  • Sugar, unsweetened chocolate (processed with potassium carbonate), cocoa butter, milk, milk fat (butter), corn syrup, vanilla, sunflower lecithin, peppermint oil, natural red color.
  • Contains milk. This product is prepared and packaged using machines that may come in contact with wheat/gluten, soy, tree nuts, peanuts.

Next Day Delivery

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.

Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Return Policy

At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

For all cutlery returns (knife sets, single knives, cutting boards, knife sharpeners and knife storage), please contact us at 888.922.4108 to initiate the return.

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

I had to write this review after reading some of the lesser reviews of my favorite Holiday tradition William Sonoma Peppermint Bark. Over the last decade I have spent on average of two hundred dollars every year for family and friends on Peppermint Bark and not once has the quality and consistency of this Delicious treat ever changed. My children believe Santa's elves make it therefore it will continue to be in their stockings every year.Again just wondering after such a long history with my purchases how can there be anything negative except maybe you ate too much! P.S. Love Love the sea salt well done.

The team loved it and I had to buy 3 more packages...No worries glad to be the star especially with such a fabulous product. Keep it up the best recipe around. Well worth the wait.

The lack of uniformity is what gives it the authentic "handmade" feel. Break it up, place it in a bowl, and it's a hit at any holiday festivity.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Not the Same... I have been buying the peppermint bark for the last few years and really enjoyed it. I bought a tin at the beginning of the holiday season this year and was disappointed. Not enough peppermint flavor, the peppermint was scarce and sorta chewy, the chocolate taste was “off”, and the pieces were all broken up. I thought maybe it was just a fluke. I read reviews which noted similar issues and WS replied that quality issues came up with some of the goods in transit. So I just shrugged it off. It happens, I guess. Weeks later, I decided to order another tin, figuring I would get a better product. The pieces were still broken up, the peppermint still scarce (but at least not chewy), and the chocolate seemed a little better, but I still couldn’t get over the lack of overall peppermint flavor. Something is just different this year. Then today, I bit into a piece and found fuzz or fiber or hair or something that was actually in between the layers of chocolate. Sigh. It was pretty small so I wasn’t grossed out or anything, just terribly disappointed. The quality is just not what it used to be. I’ll probably pass on this next year. Such a shame, because I really looked forward to it each year.

This year each time you break off a piece the layers separate and there does not seem to be as much peppermint flavor as before. Additionally, the candy is not crunchy and hard like normal but instead soft and chewy. Very very disappointing this year!

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as it used to be... I have been buying this product for years, but am very disappointed by the drop in quality this year. The flavor is less intense than in the past, and the candy cane pieces are huge and very unevenly distributed. There were large areas of the bark that had no candy cane at all and others where the candy was way too large. I will not buy this product again, that is certain!

A little disappointed this year with this product:( I have bought it for several years for friends and family, and a couple or three boxes for me:), but last night I ate some of it and I was very sad not to find the flavor, the texture of it. The layers of each ingredients has totally changed:( It's not minty enough, doesn't have the crunch and melt in your mouth texture that used to have. The layers of chocolate are very thin and not enough candy. I hope this is fix it in the future, since the price gets higher every year, the quality of it should stay like THE ORIGINAL PEPPERMINT BARK which so many of us love:)

  • Is the Original Peppermint Bark kosher? There's no label/symbol on the outside of the tin.

    Over the years I’ve accumulated a LOT of these tins. Do you perhaps have a refill program? Can I recycle the tins at one of your stores? I do reuse them for cookies and crafts, but it seems like getting my old tin refilled each year would be much better!
