- More about Le Creuset
The first Le Creuset foundry opened in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, and specialized in cast-iron cookware. The cast-iron pieces are still made at the original factory, using the traditional techniques of hand forging and casting in individual sand molds. The brightly pigmented porcelain-enamel glaze that first set Le Creuset cookware apart from other cast-iron cookware now comes in a wide range of traditional and contemporary colors. In 2013, Le Creuset began producing innovative stainless-steel cookware in Portugal with lids that incorporate the same signature three-ring design as the company’s classic cast-iron pieces. This stainless-steel collection was awarded the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for product design.
Rated 1 out of 5 by lmm89 from Cheap and arrived very dirty After waiting over a month for this set of salt & pepper mills, they arrived dirty. There must be a seam at the top of both mills because there is a dark line I can't get off on both of them. Not what I wanted when ordering white items.Date published: 2019-05-08Rated 1 out of 5 by Oldschooltravels from Beautiful but poorly constructed I sent this set as a housewarming gift to my In-laws. The pepper mill broke with one turn after adding the peppercorns. It was a very disappointing purchase.Date published: 2019-01-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Summit07901 from Still working since about 2012 My husband bought these about 2012. They are great. The only issue with all mills are that the residue salt and pepper gets on the table, so l bought a pretty dish to keep it on. My only dislike is the color he bought. I would love to replace with white or red.Date published: 2018-10-06Rated 2 out of 5 by Leslie from Pepper mill grinding disk broke in half during use I just received these today 05/04 and filled the pepper mill with new peppercorns. I heard a pop when I went to use it and discovered that the grinding disk had broken in half. Waiting on customer service to find out about a replacement.Date published: 2017-05-04Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheesygtayer from Nice addition to my Le Creusset Very nice high quality set.
