- Cooking Instructions
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 1/2 lb. (750 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces
1 jar soup starter
1 can (14 1/2 oz./455 g) diced tomatoes
3 cups (750 ml) water or low-sodium chicken broth
In an Instant Pot® set to Sauté, warm the oil. Add the chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned all over, about 5 minutes. Add the soup starter, tomatoes and water and stir to combine. Lock the lid in place, seal and set to cook at high pressure for 8 minutes. When pressure cooking is complete, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining steam. Carefully remove the lid and ladle the chili into bowls.
Serves 4 to 6.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kcol12 from So delicious! Made this tonight, and really could not be happier with it. Not sure what happened with the other reviewers who commented that it was too salty, because it wasn't at all. I used Kitchen Basics Unsalted Chicken Stock instead of water. Served with diced avocado, lime wedges, some fried tortilla strips with leftover tortillas in the pantry, and a quick blend of a chili pepper packed in adobo sauce with some Mexican crema (or could use sour cream). Incredible flavor with virtually no work in the kitchen.Date published: 2019-10-09Rated 2 out of 5 by kcgino from Ok at best, and way too salty Love the idea of these soup starters. I opted to add no meat to this soup, used water (instead of broth) and no salt added tomatoes. It was still WAY too salty to eat. I added a couple cups of water, a can of no salt added corn and a can of no salt black beans to beef it up. It's ok, likely wouldn't get this again.Date published: 2019-10-08Rated 4 out of 5 by Melanopolis from Super tasty, very salty I love the flavors in this. I used rotisserie chicken meat. It’s VERY salty, so use more water than the recipe calls for.Date published: 2019-09-21Rated 2 out of 5 by shlay16 from good flavor but soooo salty This soup mix had excellent flavor and tasted good, however it was unbearably salty. I used either low/no sodium broth and no salt added tomatoes and was still too salty. not sure if using water would have helped.Date published: 2019-06-03Rated 1 out of 5 by kumai from Decent flavor, but too salty The concept is great and the pre-mix makes making soup in the Instant Pot very easy. However, there is way too much salt in the mix and I used water instead of broth and "no salt added" can of diced tomatoes. Would not recommend or buy again due to salt content.Date published: 2019-05-19Rated 3 out of 5 by LikesToCook from Very salty but otherwise good flavor I made this last night. The soup was good but very salty.Date published: 2019-04-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Jlyn from So Delicious! This soup is so rich and delicious! It tastes like a from-scratch soup that took all day to prepare, but comes together in just 30 minutes. I followed the easy instructions and had an amazing dinner that impressed my family. The flavor is deep and smoky with a little bit of heat. Will definitely purchase this again and again!Date published: 2018-08-20

I was given a couple of Instant pot starters for Xmas - risotto and tortilla soup, but I don't own an Instant pot or pressure cooker. How can I use these?
