Gingerbread House DIY Kit

A fun family activity for the holidays, this kit contains everything you need to construct a festive edible house. The delicious gingerbread is hand made according to a traditional recipe, with a soft texture and the warm flavors of ginger, cinnamon and cloves. The kit also includes royal icing in three seasonal colors, two kinds of candies that add the finishing touches and a flat wooden stick to use as a tool.

• 6 large gingerbread cookies
• Red icing
• Green icing
• White icing
• Sprinkles

Receiving Instructions

• Kit ships fresh at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store kit at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, but keep icing bags in refrigerator until ready for use.

Thawing Instructions

• If frozen, thaw at room temperature for 30–45 minutes before assembling.

Assembly Instructions

• Remove cookies from sealed bags and place on flat surface.
• Massage each icing bag in your hands for 1–2 minutes. Royal icing naturally separates, and this step will ensure it is blended.
• Using scissors, cut small hole in straight line across tip of icing bag. If you cut at an angle, it will cause icing to curl out of bag rather than come out in straight line. Pipe icing onto a napkin or plate to test your technique. If it seems hard to squeeze out icing, make hole a little bigger. Wipe tip clean regularly with damp cloth or paper towel so icing comes out of bag in smooth line. Use icing to attach pieces of gingerbread together, decorate house and add candies.
• Allow house to dry for 8–12 hours.

• Cookies & Candies: All-purpose flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin [B vitamin], iron, thiamine mononitrate [vitamin B1], riboflavin [vitamin B2], enzymes, folic acid [B vitamin]), unsalted butter, sugar, molasses, M&Ms milk chocolate candies, sprinkles (sugar, vegetable oil, glucose cornstarch, soy lecithin, confectioners' glaze, gum arabic, artificial colors, Red #40, Yellow #5, Yellow #6, Blue #1, carnauba wax, natural and/or artificial flavor), egg, light corn syrup (corn syrup, salt, vanilla), unsweetened cocoa powder, ground ginger, salt, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda.
• Royal Icing: Powdered sugar, water, meringue powder, light corn syrup (corn syrup, salt, vanilla), pure vanilla extract (vanilla bean extractives in water, alcohol [35%]), one or more of the following dyes: Red #40, Red #3, Yellow #5, Yellow #6, Blue #1, Blue #2.
