Rated 5 out of 5 by Rochelle from Beautiful Herb Planter I bought this about 3 years ago. It's only been outdoors and has held up very well. I enjoy watching the morning glory grow around it while providing natural shade for my herbs. It is my favorite Williams-Sonoma purchase/splurge!Date published: 2018-11-02Rated 1 out of 5 by Leni321 from Stand rusted quickly. Not meant for outdoor use. I've had this tub for a few years. It was beautiful when it arrived and it garnered a lot of compliments and positive comments. It was not meant to be outdoors and this was not made clear. It started to rust right away. While the actual tub has a few rust spots on it that I can live with, the stand is crumbling from rust. Not sure what to do with it now. It was quite expensive and a big splurge, so I do t want to dump it but it is almost unusable after a few years. I would buy another stand if that option exists. My advice if you purchase is to use it indoors. It won't last outside.Date published: 2018-10-26Rated 5 out of 5 by ABellon from Classic vintage perfection This classic vintage piece is just phenomenal - it’s ideal for iced beverages during a barbecue or beautiful flowers/herbs. I have always hunted for one - and luckily happened on the WS item here. Well worth the investment! And luckily mine has a drain spout, too!Date published: 2018-06-17Rated 5 out of 5 by BackyardGardener from Funky and Groundhog-Proof! I've had this for two years now. Last year I planted herbs in it, and it was lovely and practical. After the groundhogs ate all the peas I planted in my garden several times, I stuck a few among the herbs. Those were the only peas that survived the pesky critters. This year, I planted bush beans around the edge and chard down the center, intending to transplant it. The groundhogs ate all the peas, beans, and chard in my main garden again. But the beans in this tub gave me four harvests, and I didn't have to bend over to get them! Although it was expensive, it looks cool and is very practical! I would definitely purchase it again. I lined the bottom with a layer of different sized stones to help with drainage and used potting soil. I suppose you also could use it as an outdoor ice bucket for a party, or to bathe small dogs, but I love it as a planter next to my vegetable garden.Date published: 2016-08-23Rated 5 out of 5 by lovncolor from So Unique and Beautiful! I have long admired this bathtub and stand. I am so glad I bought it. It is perfect for icing beverages for a party or filling with soil and creating an herb garden. My dilemma is solved by lining the tub with plastic and putting large pots of herbs in it. That way I can remove the pots for use when entertaining. I will use it indoors in the winter to keep my herbs available year round. I am well pleased. Great quality.Date published: 2015-06-02
