Generously marbled and easy to prepare, a prime rib roast of beef makes an impressive centerpiece for any occasion. Also known as a standing rib roast, the cut is best roasted whole "standing" on its ribs, allowing the top layer of fat to render and self-baste the meat. Hand selected for our Butcher Shop by Double R Ranch, this roast has the perfect combination of flavor and tenderness. The Washington ranch is famous for its premium beef – 100% natural, grass-fed and grain-finished. The cattle are carefully raised by a network of family ranchers from the Northwest on 70,000 breathtaking acres in the Okanogan region, providing an ideal environment for the animals' health and comfort.

- Use & Care
- The prime rib was shipped frozen with cold packs to maintain the appropriate temperature during shipment, and it may arrive partially thawed. This is to be expected and does not impact the safety of the product. Upon receipt refrigerate the prime rib, or freeze to enjoy at a later date. It will keep refrigerated up to 5 days, or frozen up to 3 months, unopened. For best quality, we do not recommend refreezing the prime rib after it has been thawed.
Proper Thawing Technique
- Remove the meat from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours. To retain more of the natural juices, leave the meat in its original packaging while thawing. It is normal for natural juices to accumulate. Simply pat dry with paper towels before cooking.
Please allow 2-7 business days for processing and delivery. This gives our artisan partners time to prepare your order with exceptional care and attention to detail. A more accurate delivery date will be quoted on the payment page. Perishable food items are not eligible for rush shipping. Please not that we do not ship perishable food items outside the contiguous 48 states or to P.O. Boxes.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. This service is not available for some oversize items, items shipped directly from the supplier (including perishable and custom-manufactured items), out-of-stock items and items to be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 or .99 cannot be returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tony Woodward from Excellent! Will order another for Christmas! I bought this Prime Rib for Thanksgiving, I also bought a Willie Bird Turkey. To be quite honest, my only problem was I have one oven now. The Prime Rib was excellent, to those who comment they didn’t think it had enough flavor: Take 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 3 cloves garlic (crushed), Sea Salt, Grind 2 tbsp pepper, and 6 Rosemary chopped, make a paste and coat on the top of the Prime Rib. Put in convection oven 30 mins then tent with foil for another 2 hours at 350. It will be medium rare, juicy and your company will love it. Let it REST, covered for at least 30 minutes before you cut. And, if you have dogs, you will have 5 really good bones for them after. We had plenty to send home with the kids and we fed 2 neighbors, even had extra for neighbors (great Thanksgiving show of appreciation. It was extremely convenient, keep it in your freezer until 4 days before your going to cook, then put in Fridge. Take out the morning you are going to cook to ensure it is almost room temp when you prepare, that will make it even more tender. I had high hopes that this prime rib roast would be fabulous. I always expect, and usually get, the best quality from Williams Sonoma. Usually their stuff is wonderful. I was so excited to have this treat for us to enjoy now, and freeze portions for later yummy dinners. Not!!!! I cooked the roast low and slow. It smelled delicious while cooking, and looked perfect, if not a tad bit over-cooked. My fault. But the roast was tender and juicy...just had NO flavor!!! The following night my husband and I had this again, this time I made an Au Jus to go with it. The sauce did give the roast some more flavor, but it was totally lacking that wonderful beefy flavor you buy a prime rib for. It arrived frozen so solid that it took two days to defrost. This roast is NOT prime, it is a lesser grade of meat. The package said "choice". It stated "Prime" on the web page. It is a rib roast that can be purchased at your supermarket for less. Waste of time and money. Always happy in the past, no so this time. Check before you order.
