- About Cup Board Pro
The Story of Keith Young & Cup Board Pro
As told by Kaley, Christian and Keira Young.
Our dad, Keith Young, a fireman and chef, invented the Cup Board Pro. A big family guy, he wanted to enjoy more time with us instead of being in the kitchen cleaning up before and after making his great meals. The Cup Board Pro is designed to do just that – to simplify the way you work in the kitchen so you have more time with your family.
In May 2011, when our dad started getting more into the production phase of the Cup Board Pro, our beautiful mom, Beth, our believer and dreamer, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Our dad put everything on hold to fight our mom's fight with her. On August 22, 2012, she was called home to heaven at age 47. Our dad had showed us the definition of true strength and he continued to be our example of how to live.
Later, our dad started to work on the Cup Board Pro once again. When he received his first shipment of boards in 2015, it was around the same time he was diagnosed with a 9/11-related cancer from working at Ground Zero. On March 17, 2018, our dad reunited with our beautiful mom. Even on his hardest days, he still wouldn't let a day go by without saying to each of us, "I love you, kid."
The three of us are so lucky to be able to call Keith Young our dad and Beth Young our mom. We want to continue their legacies, to live with their love in our hearts and share their love with the world. It was our dad's dream to have the Cup Board Pro in kitchens all over the world. We feel honored to have the support of Williams Sonoma and "Shark Tank" to help us share a little bit of Keith Young and the Cup Board Pro with you.
Rated 2 out of 5 by TrayTray from Does not work Sadly this fell short. I was so excited to purchase this as I’m familiar w the family’s story and want this to be successful. The cup attachment would not line up w the grooves no matter how you aligned it so liquid ends up dripping everywhere every single time. Seems like some may be flawed and some may not be. I got the flawed one. Just my luck.Date published: 2019-08-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Mill from Best cutting board ever I bought this for our vacation home this summer which has limited counter space & I am SO HAPPY with it I bought one for each of my 4 grown children who are equally happy with them. I don’t use for meats which other reviewers complained about as I like a larger board with well to catch juices for that, but for fruits, vegetables & salads it is the best!! Expands counter space & so easy to empty tray into bowl or pan as I chop, clean up so much easier & big time saver for me. Love the 4 rubber discs on each side which hold it in place too! Highly recommend!!Date published: 2019-07-30Rated 2 out of 5 by jrace212 from Unfortunately the board leaks The first time I used this cutting board it made a mess where the catch all container goes into the board. It was not a good seal and the juices leaked everywhere at that junction. I even tried using it again and double checked the connection to make sure it was in place. It was and still leaked. It is a great idea but needs to be a better seal where the container meets the cutting board.Date published: 2019-07-29Rated 5 out of 5 by granma in ks from Absolutely LOVE this cutting board! This is the best board I've ever had! Expandable tray fits securely, so keeps my counters clean and dry. No leaking of juices if tray is inserted correctly. Easy to clean. Doesn't show knife marks. So convenient just to push unwanted seeds, vegetable ends, etc., into tray rather than run them to the trash. Wonderfully designed and high-quality product.Date published: 2019-07-23Rated 1 out of 5 by RaulChrister from Only good for dry carving A disaster for carving a juicy roast. The juices leak through the crack between the board and the cup and all over the counter and down the drawer fronts. Worse yet, you don't notice the mess while you're carving, only after.Date published: 2019-07-22Rated 3 out of 5 by Texas Gal from great story not function I wanted to LOVE this and happy to support the family and help fulfill father's dream. And I have firefighters in my family, But if you cut and the board moves on your cabinet the cup will come out of the slot and fall to the floor. I have to be very careful not to bump it so I don't make a mess and loose my cut food.Date published: 2019-07-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Ronald from The cup makes the board! I love this board becuase I never have a place for my scraps. You can just swipe them away and have a clean workspace to cut your next item.Date published: 2019-07-17Rated 5 out of 5 by sfay7 from Great cutting board! I have used it several times and so has my husband. It doesn’t leave marks on it when you cut something. Easy to clean and store. I love the thin design.Date published: 2019-07-04
I want to order one of these for my nephew, who is a firefighter. Do all boards come with logo on them? ThanksI just watched this on The View when the kids who developed this from Shark Tank were featured. Every cutting board has the logo. This is their trademark! Date published: 2019-05-24
Are the dimensions (16" x 11" x 1/2" thick) for the board only or does it include the tray?Hi IndiansFan352, 16" x 11" x 1/2" thick is just for the board. With the tray attached, it is 16" x 15".Date published: 2019-05-30
I have the same question as the previous person a month ago. Has the leaking been addressed? I would really like to buy this cutting board to support this family and because of its features, but at that price, I would expect it to function as promoted.
According to about 1/2 the reviews, there is a leaking issue when carving meets. Any plans to address this?
