• When Jennie and Kathrine Adam started selling home-baked cakes in the early 1900s, little did they know their cottage business would become one of Britain's most beloved purveyors of sweets and savories. The sisters teamed up with the Arnett family and today, the fifth generation still runs Cartwright & Butler in coastal Yorkshire, where it all began. Made using an original recipe and the finest authentic ingredients, the company's classic shortbread rounds are irresistibly buttery and crumbly. These treats are sprinkled with demerara sugar for a delicately sweet crunch, and arrive ready for gift-giving in a vintage-style keepsake tin.
