Known as "The Infuser," the Breville BES840XL is engineered to deliver optimal espresso flavor in every cup. It pre-infuses ground coffee with low, steady water pressure before extraction, gently expanding the grinds before stepping up to high pressure. The result is a more even extraction, which produces beautifully rich, balanced coffee flavor. Select automatic one- or two-shot volumes at the touch of a button, or set your own volume with manual control.

Next Day Delivery
For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Little did I know how difficult it would be to get the correct grind. The coffee was either too fine and water would not pump through it, or it was too coarse and water freely flowed through the grinds. I messed with it for 3 years and never could duplicate the positive results from week to week though I even went so far as taking a photo of the coffee grinder setting so I could match it (or amend it) exactly. Since this machine arrived in October 2018we've been brewing at a minimum two expressos per day everyday. So far we love this machine and have said so long to Starbucks and the like, thanks to Superior home brews! We've also bought a automatic milk frother (remanufactured Breville) and the Breville grinder pro. This was a birthday present for my wife and her favorite present in years! Good coffee and a good grind equals fantastic brews in the single wall basket. Mediocre coffee or a poor getting still results in a decent Brew using the double wall basket. This thing can handle anything and still produce a decent espresso at minimum and beat Starbucks when you have your routine dialed in. I hope this one lasts longer. Right now I am very encouraged by the quality of the machine: there is enough power to froth the milk w/plenty of foam and the espresso has a good "head" on it. Since it is still very new (less than 4 mo.s) I will keep track and reevaluate/post at a later date if it starts to deteriorate as well as it continues to perform to and beyond my expectations. Nince months later, machine started making a weird electric-like buzzing noise when brewing and began leaking water below the unit--so much that it would run off the counter onto the floor. One year later (June 2016), right before expiration of factory warranty, had unit replaced by Breville (unfortunately they only replace with refurbished units, not brand new). Company representative asked me if I cleaned and descaled unit according to specifications in manual. I always cleaned with supplied tablets whenever the "clean" light came on, AND I have it marked on my calendar EVERY month to descale with 50% white vinegar/50% water as specified in the manual. The replacement unit worked fine until Dec 2016, when it started having the same problem as the original unit.
