Use & Care

Use

  • Ideal for use with all cooktops, including induction.
  • For optimum results, use the 8" fry pan on a burner no larger than 6" in diameter; the pan may be used on a larger burner but induction compatibility may be affected.
  • Safe for use with metal spatulas, spoons and whisks as well as nylon, silicone, coated or wooden utensils.
  • Do not use other types of metal utensils, such as forks or knives.
  • Oven safe to 500°F.
  • Do not use aerosol cooking sprays; buildup over time will cause foods to stick.

Care

  • Allow pans to cool before washing.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
  • Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad and a fine-powdered cleanser.

Return Policy

At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

Sweet and Sour Panfried Sole Recipe

Make the sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, sesame oil, sugar and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Keep warm.

Prepare the fish
In a shallow bowl, lightly beat the egg. Spread the flour and panko on 2 separate plates. Season the flour with a pinch each of salt and pepper.

Just before frying, season the sole fillets with salt on both sides. Dip them first in the flour, then in the egg and finally in the panko, coating evenly each time and pressing the panko with your fingertips so it adheres.

Panfry the fish
Warm a large nonstick fry pan over high heat until just hot and add the corn oil. Add the fish and fry, turning once, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Transfer the fillets to paper towels to drain briefly, then serve with the sauce. Serves 4.

Admittedly I hadn't used either of my pans this past year; however, prior to I used at least one of the them or both on a weekly if not daily basis. Granted I'm generally only cooking for one so maybe that's it but I hadn't experience any issues and I believe I've had these for almost 2 years if not more. Although I will agree the All-Clad handle does take some getting use to.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from very disappointed I bought this set about a year and a half ago. The performance is way inferior on my induction cooktop to my other d5 all clad cookware. They have actually warped on the bottom and don't lay flat anymore. I have followed all use and care recommendations and only use them a couple of time per week. I should have bought the d5 non stick instead.

I purchased these about 5 months ago and couldn’t be happier. I always hand wash them and use the recommended utensils so as to best protect the finish. I am grateful however, that they are dishwasher safe because I know my husband will put them there. At least st this juncture, they’re my favorite All-Clas pans.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strange sizes/Uncomfortable Handles I bought these skillets before Thanksgiving. First problem I encountered is the large skillet won’t work on my large induction burner. Have to use on the small burner. So I can’t use both skillets on the front burners. Second issue is the handles. With the skillet full of food, I try to lift it and the handles cut deeply into my hand. Almost dropped an entire skillet of food. Poor, poor design. Not comfortable to hold at all!

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely pans that do not last I bought this set of pans and loved them for several months. But just last week I noticed that the larger of the pans is not holding up. The non-stick is damaged, but I am always very careful to only use rubber or wood spoons. Such a disappointment for a brand like this. Stick with the Cephalon, which is what I just purchased as a replacement.

  • I am looking to restore my frying pans is there something you can recommend?

    Hi PattyB, There is nothing that can do to “restore” nonstick frying pans, but if there is an oil buildup you can use a melamine sponge to clean off the residue. Any oil build up on the pan will reduce the nonstick properties.
