Do all optional attachments (e.g. except for bowls and beaters) for the large KitchenAid mixer also fit the smaller KitchenAid Artisan Mini?

Hi JAMcD, Any attachment that is operated from the front power hub is compatible with any KitchenAid Stand Mixer, as the front power hub is universal. The KSMICM Ice Cream Maker Attachment is not compatible with the Artisan Mini. Accessories such as bowls and beaters are model-specific.

Can I use a 5 quart bowl on the mini kitchen aid mixer

Hi Social, KitchenAid does not offer a 5 QT bowl for the Artisan Mini model.

This mixer works with a 3.5 quart bowl. It is not designed for a 5 quart bowl.

Is a flat beater the same as the flex edge beater?

Hi Homebaker, The Flex Edge Beater reduces mixing time and the need to scrape ingredients down the side of the bowl. The Flat Beater will incorporate ingredients, but does not come into contact with the bowl.

The KitchenAid flex edge beater is similar to a flat beater, but it features a flexible edge that scrapes the sides of the bowl while it mixes.

Can I make 2 standard bread loaves with this mixer?
