I did you my Christmas cookie dough recipe (butter cookies) and would love to hear of other's recipes... I lost a little of the indentation because of the rising of the dough?Date published: 2019-04-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Einer2 from Best Cookie Stamp I've ever used A gift from a baking friend of mine, so happy she thought of me!! My first attempt was with the Chocolate Tahini Linzer Cookies from 2018 Bon Appetit. This dough is a bit fussy as it warms so quickly. Wish I had read the reviews that suggested making balls and pressing into the stamp!! As mentioned by others, rolling to the appropriate thickness is critical. Will be looking for those rails that aid in a consistent roll!!! Next up the Ina short bread dough (a bit surprised that a recipe wasn't included in box or at least one on the web-site.Date published: 2019-03-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Melinda from I love these!!! I have been baking these cookies left and right. I got a really good shortbread recipe that doesn’t spread. I use a variety of jams and I make them extra thick. They come out moist and buttery every time. Instead of rolling a sheet of dough out and stamping, I ball up a healthy one inch size scoop of dough and press it in there and then punch it out. Works beautifully for a thick cookie.Date published: 2019-02-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Kara from So easy to use--Make impressive cookies! These are so easy to use and make . I am making cookies using a 4-ingredient recipe I found on an online blog and adding seedless raspberry jam, chocolate ganache, and lemon curd to the centers. They are so professional looking and sure to impress family and friends!Date published: 2019-02-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Chicki from Makes beautiful cookies! The cutters made such beautiful and professional looking cookies! I tried a few recipes and the best one is Ina Garten’s shortbread. And you have to roll thick...(about 1/2”) and press down a few times. Filled with homemade raspberry jam...incredible!Date published: 2019-01-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Katerkins from My new favorite tool! I bought this a few months ago, eager to use them for my Christmas baking. These did not disappoint, but beware that you need to use them with a cookie that won’t rise too much. I found that a classic shortbread thumbprint cookie was absolutely perfect for these and totally elevated the thumbprint cookie experience. I will absolutely be using these every Christmas and buying a few more for gifting purposes. I’m so excited to serve my cookies at my Christmas party tomorrow!Date published: 2018-12-23Rated 5 out of 5 by stuartdogs from easy I had the same experience with sugar cookie recipe... puffed up... but i am confident they will work with shortbread.. the trick for me was to first cut then stamp...tried to do it all at once at first and did not work... made great impressions, but sugar cookie recipe was puffyDate published: 2018-12-22
I bought your stamp cookies and though you would include a tried and true recipe. I have no idea what recipe to use. A shortbread or a thumbprint recipe? Should I use a recipe that is rolled with a rolling pin? I have no idea.Hi Robbyn, These can be used with any recipe of choice. We’ve used them for sugar and gingerbread cookies. The dough will need to be rolled out to ¼ inch thickness. Chill for 30 minutes, then bake.Date published: 2019-02-25
How do you clean these cookie stamps? I bought similar Christmas cookie cutters, and could easily take them apart. These ones I couldn't. I tried, but didn't want to break them. Is there a way to take them apart? Thanks!Hi Evica, No, these cookie stamps do not come apart. They are top rack dishwasher-safe but handwashing is recommended.Date published: 2019-02-06
TO Melinda who reviewed the cutters along with the beautiful thick cookies. How long do you bake those and at what temp? Those are exactly what I am looking to create.
