Bar Keepers Friend
Rated 5 out of 5 by Skyscraperdog from Skip to this one. I bought this roaster a few years ago and my love for it hasn't cooled. I bought the extra large size just as we approached the holiday season. I needed a 'really big' as Ed Sullivan would have said, roasting pan for a Christmas goose. I nipped over to Columbus Circle store and bought one. It has been fabulous. The goose was a big hit and actually fit the pan and photographed like a glossy magazine shot with the roasted goose and trimmings. But do be careful as I happen to have a rather large oven and not everyone's size oven can handle this large a pan! Measure before you buy! But I did and I have the ability to use the Extra Large. I have also used it for a fabulous whole filet mignon roast and other things. True I don't use it everyday but for the days i need it, I am thrilled with it. Still looks like new out of the box. I use S.O.S. and Bartender's Friend on all my All-Clad. People actually comment on how good my pots look!! (Due to NYC apt. size constraints a lot of my pots and pans are hanging in plain sight. And some are 30+ years old! But they are all shiny and bright. Anyway, if you've checked for size, I don't think you can go wrong on this roaster as it will accommodate quite large things as well as multiples of things. Personally if you can do it size-wise, I'd recommend going for the biggest as they are pricey items and 'upgrading' is more expensive then biting the bullet and getting the biggest first..Date published: 2017-11-04Rated 5 out of 5 by tim8p from Great Roasting Pan I bought this roasting pan one month ago and I am very pleased. The flared sides make the pan seem shallow and hot air can travel around anything in the pan. I can put it on the two small burners of my small stove to make a pan sauce. I roast vegetables, fruit, and meat in this pan. I am very pleased. The pan is very high quality. I boil water in the pan or use Bar Keepers Friend to keep it looking brand new.Date published: 2017-03-19Rated 5 out of 5 by gotrrWS from Excellent roasting pan New Year's rib roast was cooked to perfection in this pan. Thought long and hard before the purchase, but i'm very pleased. Can't say this pan is entirely practicle, but it sure doeas a magnificent job.Date published: 2017-01-23Rated 5 out of 5 by SRZ123 from Check size of oven vs pan When you are ready to purchase this item consider size of pan for your oven. The web site list the pan size overall. For most people overall is the total distance of the item including handles. This is not the case with this roaster. The large pan measures 18 inches with handles and the ex large pan measures over 21 inches with handles. Still very nice pans worth buying.Date published: 2016-12-30Rated 5 out of 5 by GreyGhost54 from Amazing Roaster! This roaster is the best I've ever used and I'm so glad I made the purchase! Distributes and retains heat evenly giving you a perfect roast every time. I've made prime rib, cornish hens, and lamb chops and they've all come out perfect and amazing. It's also beautiful and made in the US. The other All-Clad roaster (not the flared one) is made in China.Date published: 2016-01-07Rated 4 out of 5 by MarkB from More room than the old ones. I already own the previous roasters, both sizes. They had vertical sides. The new ones with the flared sides can accommodate larger turkeys. Measure your oven before you buy the extra large. Per the carton, the cookware is made in the US while the rack is made in China. I also have a large All-Clad covered roaster with 5 inch high vertical walls and a domed cover. Sometimes it's nice to have the lid. I am not sure if they make that anymore. I also own the Copper-Core flared oval roaster which they don't make anymore. Bottom line: It's functional and has a nice finish. No major complaints.Date published: 2015-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Klonghorn from Great Quality! My first time cooking the Thanksgiving turkey is coming up and I wanted something reliable to cook with as well as elegant to serve. This All-Clad is sturdy and a healthy alternative to cook with. The first time I got a bit concerned because there was some spotting (should have coated with oil as instructions describe) but they came right off with a little warm vinegar.Date published: 2015-10-21Rated 1 out of 5 by LauraBeth from NOT the old All-Clad quality Please don't fall for the name! We bought a set of All-Clad pots and pans in 1999 and they are all in perfect condition; in fact they look brand new. We bought this roaster in 2012 for Thanksgiving--it was fine, but after using it once, there appeared chips in the stainless steel. I had washed in the dishwasher, just like all our other All-Clad pieces. Anyway, W-S referred me to All-Clad, which told me to send it in for their inspection. NO JOKE--I got it back a month later with a note saying the chips were my fault and they weren't standing my the product. Did a little online research and found out All-Clad is now largely made in China. Very expensive mistake but I'm replacing with Mauviel.Date published: 2015-10-07
