Cookware

Drawing on over 50 years of experience, we strive to bring our customers everything they need in the kitchen. We are focused on ensuring product safety, and offering our customers choices that meet their preferences.

Our entire non-stick cookware assortment is PFOA-free, and always will be. We will also continue to offer our customers a wide selection of cookware, including alternatives to traditional non-stick such as 100% toxin-free ceramic nonstick, stainless steel, cast-iron and copper cookware.

Two of our major vendors, Scanpan and Lodge, recycle all excess aluminum & cast iron materials during production.

Olivewood

Our assortment is constantly reviewed to ensure that we are using only high-quality ingredients that are responsibly sourced and cause no harm to customers or their environment. We aim to help our customers support a healthy, non-toxic home and kitchen.

We are dedicated to leadership through sustainably sourced and reclaimed wood. Our olivewood collections provide a second life to trees that no longer bear fruit. We are growing our assortment of products made with wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), enabling our customers to support healthy forests and ecosystems through
their purchase.

We are dedicated to helping our customers reduce their footprint at home – whether through storage solutions that provide an alternative to single use plastics, or through sparkling water systems such as Sodastream & Aarke, we are keeping millions of bottles out of landfill!

Our electrics assortment is 100% UL C-UL certified and we continue to research standards and improve the energy efficiency of our products, helping our customers reduce their footprint and costs at home.

Housewares

We strive to incorporate as clean and natural ingredients as possible, without compromising quality or performance. We always avoid known toxins and prohibit any form of of animal testing.

WS Soaps & Lotions are 100% paraben free, biodegradable, do not contain: ammonia, Chlorine, lauramide DEA; are not tested on animals. Countertop spray and all-purpose cleaners contain natural cleansers and aromatic oils. Room Sprays are non-aerosol.

WS Essential Oil Candles are petroleum free, made of clean-burning beeswax and vegetable wax.

Food

We take pride in knowing where our ingredients come from and how they are made. Our food program strives to include clean and high quality ingredients – as well as support the growers, makers and artisans who we partner with.

Our foods avoid trans-fat, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors. We are rapidly growing our assortment of organic and non-GMO offerings.

The coffee in our capsules is Fair Trade Certified™, which supports safe and healthy working conditions, environmentally sound growing practices and provides a small premium back to workers to invest in local initiatives. We are proud to be one of the first brands to be a member of the Fair Trade Sustainable Coffee Challenge - which means that all of our Williams Sonoma coffee will be Fair Trade Certified™ by 2020. Our coffee capsules are also 100% aluminum and recyclable - and we always take them back in store!

We aim to support our communities, whether through donating food, providing disaster relief or our growing assortment of local markets in stores that showcase local chefs, makers and artisans.

Textiles

We have set an industry leading goal to source 100% of our cotton responsibly by 2021, not only supporting our environment – but also holding our assortment to the highest standards of safety within the home.

We are moving quickly to reach our goal and offer our customers the dual benefits of safe, non-toxic products that are also made sustainably. Across our assortment of home textiles, from table linens to bath towels, we are proud to offer our customers a growing assortment of options that support sustainable cotton production. By 2020, our entire assortment of bedroom and bath textiles will be certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means they have been tested for harmful chemicals and harsh dyes, or will be certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Furniture

We are committed to high quality products made from sustainably sourced wood. All of our wood is traceable to sustainable sources, and we have set a goal to reach 50% responsibly sourced wood by 2021, growing the market for certifications that support healthy forests and ecosystems such as that certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). By this summer, 100% of our outdoor collections will be FSC® certified.
