Watermelon-Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Like many other strawberry frozen desserts, this yogurt will become very firm as it sits in the freezer, so let it thaw at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving. Or simply serve it straight from the ice cream maker when it’s done churning for a creamy soft-serve treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (4 oz./125 g) watermelon cubes, seeded
- 3 cups (12 oz./375 g) frozen strawberries
- 1 banana, peeled
- 1/4 cup (2 fl. oz./60 ml) honey
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 2 cups (16 oz./500 g) whole-milk Greek yogurt
Directions:
In a blender, combine the watermelon, strawberries, banana, honey and salt. Blend until thoroughly pureed, about 1 minute. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the yogurt.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the mixture is very cold, at least 2 hours and up to overnight.
Transfer the yogurt mixture to an ice cream maker with at least a 1-quart (1-l) capacity and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer the frozen yogurt to a plastic freezer container, cover tightly and freeze until firm, at least 2 hours or up to 3 days. Serves 4 to 6.
