Rated 2 out of 5 by Kimanh from Looks Great, but not satisfied with functionality I got another one because I needed a bigger one. I absolutely love the overall/mostly glass look, but the filter does not stay up at all. It is constanly sliding down on its own. I am disappointed with this factor because my coffee is not able to fully brew for as long as I would like. I do wonder if I have a defected one or not. Does anyone have this problem? If so, I may have to switch it out for another. Or I may have to return and/or try another one.Date published: 2019-07-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Jv123 from Easy to use I am online buying one because I used my niece’s while visiting her in Australia. It is fabulous. I made the same mistake of pouring coffee everywhere until she pointed out there is a part of the top that has holes in it. They have to be lined up with the spout and NO MORE SPILLS. They use theirs every day and it truly keeps the coffee hot due to the double insulation.Date published: 2019-03-27Rated 1 out of 5 by unsatisfied customer from Poor press design Since there is no connector to hold the mesh and the main part of the french press together, the mesh comes off very easily. WS do not sell parts for the WS branded French press coffee makers. This product certainly does NOT live up to the WS’ quality brand reputation.Date published: 2019-03-01Rated 1 out of 5 by Knight Righter from Strong form, lacking function The spout on this beauty is the weakest link. Which is sad, because it's one of the most important elements. About 25-30% of the time, coffee runs down the side of the press and getting all over the table/counter. There doesn't seem to be any foolproof technique that keeps it from happening, save for using another coffee maker entirely. Frustrating for such a beautiful piece. Finally decided to post a review after pouring a cup during a conference call, only to have coffee end up all over the table. Time to find a new one.Date published: 2019-02-11Rated 3 out of 5 by Diane from Need to have replacement Parts I love the Press but I accidentally dropped the nut . I need only this piece and don’t want to buy another one.Date published: 2018-11-11Rated 2 out of 5 by Ethan from Form over function Looks nice but the spout is very poorly designed. This results in it being very difficult to use without spilling everywhere.Date published: 2018-10-09Rated 2 out of 5 by SarM from Poor design I'm disappointed in this product. It works, but there are some design flaws that I really dislike. The top fits poorly in the glass, and spilling is common when I pour my cup of coffee. On the filter end, there's a little screw that is typically attached to the bottom metal filter on any other french press I've owned. On this one, however, it's a free piece less than 1/2 in big. Be careful when washing this, because mine has found its way into the garbage disposal multiple times.Date published: 2018-06-22Rated 3 out of 5 by jclark from Just ok I purchased my first french press just before the holidays. Over the past 2 months, I feel that the filter has become flimsy and I get more and more grounds in my coffee. As I press down slowly, the grounds seem to find an escape route on the side. I don't feel that the filter fits tightly enough to keep this from happening. It looks pretty, but not as functional as I would like.Date published: 2018-03-07
Why is the lid so loose on this thing? Is mine faulty or are they all like this? Also, the pour is terrible and very messy, I am wondering if it is from the loose lid/top..Hi Anonymous, Thanks for letting us know. We’ll look into the matter.Date published: 2018-12-26
