    The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), founded in 1909, is America’s largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the nation. The NAACP Empowerment Programs, Inc. works at the national and local levels in pursuit of the longstanding mission: to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and discrimination.

    We’re partnering with NAACP on the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), a yearlong empowerment program designed to recruit, stimulate and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African American high school students.

    Invest in the critical work by making a donation* and encourage your networks to also support NAACP Empowerment Programs’ movement to build political power and ensure the well-being of Black communities.
