  • Enamel can chip or crack if dropped or banged on hard surface.


  • Allow pan to cool before washing.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads, harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers.
  • Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad or sponge.

If within 30 days, you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt.     Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lost black enamel coating immediately :( I received this beautiful pan as a gift, and after the first 2 times of using and only hand washing with a soft sponge, I noticed white splotchiness all over the black enamel. I tried dishwashing it just in case, since the pan says it is dishwasher safe...the splotch marks have not gone away. I'm not sure if it's still safe to use, but either way the look is not what it should be.

This is my second Le Creuset purchase and I am very pleased. The skillet cooked evenly and was easy to clean. It was expensive but I splurged to have such a pretty, and functional skillet.

I don't think it is deep enough to label as a deep skillet. The depth is comparable to my other similar-sized skillet. Cleans easily. Attractive: Ocean

  •  Can you tell me what the difference is between the 3 1/2 quart cast-iron round Dutch oven and the 3 1/2 quart Essential Dutch oven?

    Hi Fredda, The Essential Dutch Oven has sloped sides and is a bit wider and heavier than the Round Dutch Oven. Sloped sides facilitate easy stirring; wide cooking surface is ideal for browning and searing.

    Is there a lid (preferably glass) that would fit this 13" cast iron skillet?

    Hi kelbelle, Unfortunately, there is not a glass lid that will fit the 13" skillet but the lid from the 13.25 qt. Signature Round Dutch Oven will fit.

    What's the difference between the Deep Skillet and Fry Pan? The 12 inch diam Deep Skillet is 1/4" higher but 11 oz lighter according to the website dimensions and I am trying to understand and select the right product for me.

    Hi tictactoe, The main difference between the skillet and the fry pan is the weight. The skillets are slightly thinner cast iron molds, which is why they weigh less.

    Is this skillet good for cooking steak at high temps?

    Hi Roon, Cast iron skillets tend to be the best for searing steaks because it’s naturally nonstick, it retains heat wonderfully, and the material gives a better sear than a stainless steel pan.
