- More about Le Creuset
The first Le Creuset foundry opened in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, and specialized in cast-iron cookware. The cast-iron pieces are still made at the original factory, using the traditional techniques of hand forging and casting in individual sand molds. The brightly pigmented porcelain-enamel glaze that first set Le Creuset cookware apart from other cast-iron cookware now comes in a wide range of traditional and contemporary colors. In 2013, Le Creuset began producing innovative stainless-steel cookware in Portugal with lids that incorporate the same signature three-ring design as the company’s classic cast-iron pieces. This stainless-steel collection was awarded the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for product design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lisa from Le creuset trivet I bought a couple of trivets. 1 was a Le creuset and the other I got at William Sonoma. I loved the look and was excited to use them. However I found when I put the pans on top on the trivet it was slippery and I was afraid the pan would slide off.Date published: 2019-03-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Laurienda from Beautiful trivet Delicate design on cast iron! Works like a charm and looks so lovely on the table. I have two of them and use them often to hold my heavy LC pots as they come out of the oven. Weighty and purposeful, a significant addition to any kitchen. I use it primarily to disperse heat from my Le Creuset teakettle. My trivet is always out and never stored. Love it!Date published: 2012-11-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackkie from Nothing About This Trivet Will Disappoint I received this as a gift in red to match my Le Creuset pans and it is an excellent product. It works equally well with all the different sizes and shapes of Le Creuset I own. Not only does it beautify the table, it protects and performs exactly as it is intended. There is nothing about this trivet that will disappoint.Date published: 2012-05-02
