Rated 1 out of 5 by Jennyg333 from Huge Dissapointment juicer doesn't live up to WS standards. For years I have purchased WS products. I purchase from WS, knowing I'm paying a higher price than many competitors, but do so bc I believe quality comes with a price. Not the case with this juicer - from the first use, there's a random rubber piece below the base that makes attaching the juicer awkward and difficult. Then there's the cheap, plastic sliding piece that's supposed to regulate the amount of pulp going into the juice. This never works but rather CLOGS from the get-go, resulting in NO juice. I've tried everything from apples, spinach, pineapples, etc. Doesn't matter what vegetable or fruit I use, the result is frustration over no or very little (4-5 ounces) juice, a clogged basket and a huge mess to clean up. Wish I could send it back! I threw away the box and receipt because I never anticipated that something from WS would be this disappointing.Date published: 2017-01-07Rated 1 out of 5 by Parker65310 from Absolute Fail KichenAide! This attachment is overpriced, loud, klunky and poorly executes! If you have for example leafy greens, pulpy fruits like oranges, berries, wet ingredients like pineapple that you want to extract juice from look elsewhere. This attachment will poorly extract, clog-up and put sizeable pieces of fiber in your glass (even using the basket with the smallest holes) while draining your pocketbook in waste. It is also a pain to clean and the axle is covered in grease waiting to get all over your shirt sleeves. We will never buy another Kitchenaide appliance or attachment after this experience. I shutter to think this piece of junk is several generations into "refinement"!Date published: 2016-07-19Rated 1 out of 5 by wphousewife from OVERPRICED AND TERRIBLE As with many other reviewers, I was excited when Kitchen Aid came out with a juicer attachment as I have many of the others. This thing is terrible. You will practically sprain your wrist trying to get it to lock and cleaning it is a chore. Even when using the smallest pulp basket, you still get a chunky juice that then has to be strained. Oh, and half your veggies will still be left behind in the basket and not in your juice. Not worth the money; DO NOT BUY.Date published: 2016-04-28Rated 1 out of 5 by GTDALLAS from NOT SO GOOD JUICER The product does not work as descriped. The pulp chute constantly clogs up. In addition, the unit is hard to lock and secure onto the mixer. Not impressed with the results, expecially at this price point.Date published: 2015-04-22Rated 2 out of 5 by mares6279 from Loyal Kitchen Aid fan but weak juicer When i discovered the juicer attachment, I was won over immediately and bought it in an instant. I have the ice cream attachment and pasta attachment, so it seemed natural to buy the juicer attachment. I've been on the slow juice craze but wasn't willing to buy a whole separate machine since I have limited counter space. The attachment was really hard to snap on. I felt like I was almost breaking it to make it snap on. Once it's moving, I noticed even with the low pulp basket, there was still pieces of veggies in my juice. It doesn't work well if you are trying to masticate more than a cup's worth of juice. There are a lot of parts to this but the cleaning doesn't really bother me too much. Most of the items can be washed in the dishwasher.I was really disappointed that this wasn't a better slow juicer. I'm told the Hurom is a better machine but again, didn't want to buy another kitchen appliance. Kitchenaid, it was a nice thought, but definitely not a winner.Date published: 2015-02-08Rated 2 out of 5 by csanchez from great in concept, but not worth keeping like many other reviewers, i thought this would solve our need to have a slow juicer and take up less counter space. but alas, we are not keeping it the attachment fits well, but it still makes me worry it will break off or somehow damage the motor of the KitchenAid. All that torque and fighting with the motor seems like it will not end well. securing it seems harder than it should, with a lot of effort just to lock it down. the pulp close tab, under the main basket is also very poorly designed- when its open, where should it be placed as there is no obvious place for it to go when the basket is to be in the open position. there are also at least 10 parts to clean up after each juicing. it is easy to clean though! then the juicing. the pulp shoot clogs up way too easily! we tried celery and only after one stalk did it clog up. carrots, 2 carrots was it we'll keep shopping!Date published: 2015-01-27Rated 2 out of 5 by Cookinglab from A LITTLE TO MUCH There are way to many pieces to this attachment, I returned it, it's easier to buy a Vitamix than try to install this.Date published: 2015-01-21Rated 5 out of 5 by RW69 from Brilliant Juicer What a fantastic juicer. This is a solid piece of equipment and juices very well. Pulp comes out nice and dry. The separate pulp collector is really good as it allows you to produce high quantities of juice. Easy to clean.Date published: 2015-01-02
