Rated 1 out of 5 by yellow from Don't Get the Grey I bought this set last year and loved it. I just ordered four new grey plates and they are no where near the quality. The glaze finish is thin and looks terrible. I'm very disappointed for the price. These should be flawless.Date published: 2019-12-17Rated 3 out of 5 by For the love of cooking from Beautiful but scratch easily I've had these dishes for a year now. They are beautiful and I do love them. BUT for the price they should be able to withstand everyday utensils. The plates seem to be doing fine, but every single cereal and pasta bowl is all scratched up on the bottom from (basically spoon) utensils. I am guessing it's due to the lighter glaze showing more wear than the dark plates. The glaze is uneven is some areas, BUT it is such a fine glaze that you cannot notice it unless u hold the plate up to the light and inspect it. To be honest it's nitpicking to let this deter you from buying the plates. Like I said I've had them for a year, we use them as everyday plates, and haven't had any chips or cracks. Just the scratching on the lighter glazes. Bottom line is that I love the plates and they are beautiful, but I wanted to let people know they do show wear.Date published: 2018-04-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Stressedchemist from Beautiful. I just received some place settings. I've loved looking at the dinnerware for the last year and finally decided to go for it. One bread and butter plate arrived chipped. Jennifer in Customer Service rocked it by finding an easy solution. All great!Date published: 2018-01-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave from Stunning set from my favorite Porcelain company Pillivuyt fanboy here ... Love these dishes. I was impressed by the tablescape featuring both the grayscale and white dishes in the Pillivuyt video. I decided to get the grayscale first since it would work well with some of my tablecloths and I was interested in plating on something other than white. Very nice dishes. I have since purchased the 3-tier serving plates and will be purchasing the 4 piece in white hopefully soon. All of my gratin dishes are Pillivuyt, so I know the quality. And, prior to this, I purchased from a local store a 4 piece collection of their Provence collection.Date published: 2017-06-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Alyson from Love It! We registered for these for our wedding registry and received them a couple months ago. I fell in love with the color and design of this set but was nervous because of the reviews. I'm glad I went ahead with this set because I love them even more in person. We've had no issues with the paint being uneven or chipping or with the plates damaging our tabletop. They look exactly like the pictures! I have absolutely no complaints!Date published: 2017-06-20Rated 2 out of 5 by Elena from Beautiful, but will scratch your table top I bought a set of the bowls to try, and would have gotten the complete set if they were made better. The porcelain on the bottom rim is not finished, it's rough and uneven and immediately scratched my Carrara marble table. I think they would also scratch a nice wood table. Even if you planned on only using them with a tablecloth or placemats, they could scratch your kitchen countertops. For something that has such a beautiful design, this was a disappointing surprise. At this price, I expected them to be made better. I've been using the Brasserie Blue-Banded Porcelain Dinnerware for years and this is not an issue. The bottom rim of those are smooth. Oh well...I'll return these.Date published: 2017-02-10Rated 3 out of 5 by Frenchy7 from Beautiful though problematic I bought a set of these at a store though we had difficulties finding plates without any irregularities in the coating of the color. The salesperson who assisted, agreed the color seems to not be evenly coated. While I love the concept of mismatching colors and love the grey shade, I must say I was disappointed in the quality of the color for the price. Still a beautiful product.Date published: 2017-02-05Rated 3 out of 5 by BDMD from Beautiful but grey not flawless vs white setting Beautiful porcelain but it seems a lot of the plates have uneven colors and coating. I already had to change one in the store, then returned one online and the replacement sent had uneven colors as well. Too much hassle back and forth. Now I see one of them with spiderweb like changes after one use. I also have a few of the white eclectique settings (wanted 7 and 7 on my wedding registry) and the white ones are flawless. It worries me that with the grey ones I will continue to have future problems. Will continue buying the white set to complete my set and I'm debating if I should return the grey ones altogether. For the price the set should be flawlessDate published: 2016-02-28
