Rated 5 out of 5 by bob m from Very functional This was the size pan I was looking for - large enough for cooking larger quantities of food w/o cooking in batches. Of course it heats evenly, is well crafted (as well it should at this price point) and I like the brushed looks of the TK line - functional yet elegant. I agree with the others about the lid - at this price, perhaps the lid should be included. I have a 12" TK lid for another pan and it fits this rondeau, well it almost fits because it sits a little below the top of the pan and that might make a difference if you were cooking food that came up to the top. But I bought the "recommended" 15" lid and that simply is too big and overhangs on the sides. Looks clumsy and takes up extra space on the stove top while cooking - that may be an issue if you are using several pots/pans at the same time. Why not a 12.5" lid to fit this pan/pot perfectly well instead?Date published: 2019-04-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeanbe from I would buy this pan again This is one of the best pans that I am using. The depth of the pan is what I was looking for and the handles are perfect. Easy cleanupsDate published: 2018-12-13Rated 5 out of 5 by yy6906 from One of the most useful pieces of cookware This rondeau has been great for big batches of vegetables, soups, stock, and stews. It heats evenly on my glass-top electric range and cleans up easily. The handles provide a comfortable grip as well. I've also found the dimensions useful for steaming larger items. For example, it's wide enough to fit two lobsters side by side in a single layer, and deep enough that the lobsters can sit on a steaming rack without steeping in water. A cheap 12'' glass lid that I already had in my kitchen happens to fit perfectly, which suggests that the diameter of the rondeau is standard enough to easily find a matching lid. In my opinion, the quality and convenience of this item more than justifies its relatively steep price.Date published: 2018-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Buddy from Love this pot Use this pot for cooking a large lamb or pork shoulder roast, Osso Bucco for four or more, roasting two or more chickens - or just one surrounded by garlic, onions, carrots etc., browning (no need to do two or three batches with this pot), slow-cooked braises, deep frying, sautéing, making soup, chile, beans, large batches of vegetables (spinach, chard, etc.) for a crowd. This is an easy to clean, solid, well made beauty. I don't use this pot everyday but do at least once a week. It sure comes in handy. Never thought I would purchase this size of pot but glad I did! Yes, it is expensive but worth the money. If you are a serious cook, buy this now. The universal lid recommendation on the box is incorrect. It should be 12 inches. Got that All-Clad?Date published: 2018-03-08Rated 5 out of 5 by robin from About the lid... Lids from our other 12" pans fit this pan. Purchased for high sides.Date published: 2017-04-19Rated 4 out of 5 by JAFprism from useful size I rated this at 4 stars because it didn't come with a lid. This rondeau is a perfect size for pot roast & roasting meat for soup. I've used it a few times since I received it a couple of weeks ago. As time goes buy I'm sure I'll find more uses for this pan. I love the depth of the pan. It is easy to clean. I plan on purchasing one for my daughter. She appreciates good cookware.Date published: 2016-02-02Rated 5 out of 5 by trysta from Gorgeous and versatile! I purchased this because I love All-Clad products and I needed a new stock-pot. I was happy to find this rondeau. When I received it, I was in awe of the beauty and quality of this pot! The pot is very large and it heats up liquid extremely quickly and evenly. I use it for pastas, large batches of sauces, potatoes and works very well boiling many eggs for the little ones around Easter. This pot is worth every penny and will surely impress.Date published: 2015-11-15Rated 5 out of 5 by MisterTee from Great Stuff This is the third piece of All-Clad's TK line that we've purchased and all three perform flawlessly. We've used this to poach batches of fish croquettes (gefilte fish) and it's deep and wide enough that everything is immersed but you can still reach things. It's a perfect size and the conductivity and clean-up are sensational. The whole line of cookware isn't cheap but you do get what you pay for. The "universal lids" are brilliant.Date published: 2015-04-18
