- Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe
Feed a crowd with this flavor-packed lasagna, which cooks to bubbling perfection in a slow cooker. If you’re lucky, you’ll have leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day.
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
- 2 jars (each 24 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb. whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 18 ruffle-edged lasagna noodles (not no-boil noodles)
- 1 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 oz. Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, finely grated
- Thinly sliced fresh basil for garnish
In the stovetop-safe insert of slow cooker over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon, until the meat is browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and water and bring to a simmer. Transfer the sauce to a large bowl.
In another bowl, stir together the ricotta, parsley, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Spread a thin layer of the sauce on the bottom of the slow-cooker insert. Cover the sauce with a single layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (about 3), breaking the noodles as needed to fit. Spread about 1/3 cup of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Top with about 2 cups of the sauce, then sprinkle with about 1 cup of the mozzarella and 1/4 cup of the Parmigiano-Reggiano. Repeat the layering 4 more times, starting with the noodles.
Transfer the insert to the slow-cooker base, cover and cook on low according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the noodles are tender and cooked through, about 4 hours.
Position a rack in the center of an oven and preheat to broil.
Transfer the slow-cooker insert to the oven and broil until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown, 6 to 8 minutes. Let the lasagna rest for 20 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil and serve immediately. Serves 12.

- Chicken Taco Salad
To prepare the chicken, in a large fry pan over medium heat, warm the oil until almost smoking. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the chicken, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, tomatoes, cilantro and oregano and stir to combine. Season with salt. Stir in the stock and cook until most of the liquid has been absorbed and the tomatoes are soft, 5 to 10 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasonings with salt. Set aside.
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, pour in oil to a depth of 3 inches and heat to 360°F on a deep-frying thermometer. Using a tortilla basket according to the manufacturer's instructions, fry the tortillas 1 at a time until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Place each fried tortilla on an individual plate. Top with lettuce, beans, chicken, cheese, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado and salsa, dividing equally. Pass additional salsa alongside. Serves 6.

Rated 1 out of 5 by zekiesmom from while it worked great...died at a young age When this worked it worked great. I used it about 5 times a year. Loved the insert that allowed me to sear so using only 1 pan. I tried to turn it on and NOTHING...and, of course, past warranty. Had a crock pot for over 25 years that had no problems but loving all clad pots decided to spend the money on this. This was about 5 years old.Date published: 2020-01-05Rated 1 out of 5 by MNBJ from Don’t buy I have cheap crock pots that have lasted for years. This is the oat expensive one I own and the insert just keeps peeling.Date published: 2019-12-27Rated 1 out of 5 by Karen from Junk Was a gift from my sister in six months insert was peeling.Date published: 2019-12-15Rated 1 out of 5 by Janet W. from 6.5 Qt. Electric Slow Cooker I bought the slightly smaler 6.5 qt. electric slow cooker about 10 years ago. I only used it about a dozen times. The "slow" feature did not work very well so I only used the high setting. I got it out again today to use after not using it for about five years and it does not even come on. I tried different wall outlets hoping a breaker had popped. It is definitely the slow cooker. I have purchased many products from All-Clad over the years. I am very disappointed with this one. Obviously, the warranty is long overdue.Date published: 2019-12-08Rated 1 out of 5 by preciousalf from insert bubbles and All Clad doesn't stand behind The insert bubbled on the bottom after normal use with only wood and silicone utensils. Contacted All Clad and they refuse to replace the insert. I've maybe used it a dozen times total. Going back to cheaper slow cookers that can be replaced 10 times at the cost of this one.Date published: 2019-12-02Rated 2 out of 5 by Mssmccoy from Loved it when it worked I had mine for about 5 years. My hubby bought it as a gift. (I’m a practical lady so I loved it) but using it about 5 times a year since I received it, it died. I would set the timer to 6 and it would turn off after about an hour. You had to constantly check to see if it was still on. The most expensive crockpot I’ve owned and definitely the worst one.Date published: 2019-11-30Rated 1 out of 5 by Ericka from Lid peels Just like everyone else, the lid peels. I am surprised they still sell this product with all the horrible reviews.Date published: 2019-11-28Rated 5 out of 5 by KPCtexas from Amazing!! Got this as a wedding gift over 10 years ago. Used weekly and has been extremely reliable. I have made more queso to the sides at parties than I care to admit, but the crusty cheese that cooks on the sides after hours of cooking—just slides down the sides and the insert cleans up in a flash.Date published: 2019-11-26
I'm on my 2nd non-stick insert and it has also started to peel. The mechanics of the machine still work though. Can I use a ceramic insert instead with the same mechanical device? Hi SWinMD - Please contact the All Clad customer service team at 800-255-2523 for a replacement insert. We do not recommend mixing the ceramic and non-stick inserts as they were designed for the technical base that they are sold with.Date published: 2019-06-12
