Hot Rum Coffee

Coffee and rum are the perfect combo, especially after a meal. This rum and coffee recipe is simple to make and perfect for serving during the winter holidays.
Ingredients
- 2 cups hot coffee
- 1/2 cup half-and-half, heated
- 2 1/2 Tbs. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/8 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 3/4 cup amber rum
- Grated chocolate for garnish
Directions
Step 1. Stir Ingredients
Select 4 mugs. In a pitcher, stir together the coffee, half-and-half, sugar, cardamom and nutmeg. Pour 3 Tbs. of the rum into each mug and top with the warm coffee mixture.
Step 2. Garnish and Serve
Stir gently, sprinkle the top with the chocolate and serve immediately. Serves 4.

So simple and yummy! I used whole milk instead of the half & half and also blended in a blender before serving.
